Full process was very quick and easy.
First, they took the documents and took finger prints.
Small wait, and they called to the window for an interview.
Only asked a couple questions:
- describe your fiance (the petitioner)
- what language do we use to communicate
- describe how we met
Half way through the answer to last question, they interrupted, and notified that visa is approved.

The experience was very positive.
Good embassy location, friendly staff, the process is pretty straightforward if your papers are prepared checked and prepared beforehand.
It took me about 20 minutes inside of the embassy and around 15-20 minutes in line for 8:30am appointment.
Also follow instructions on the interview application print (page 2), you will need someone to hold your bag in front of the embassy entrance.
Or you'll need to pay 40UAH (Nov. 2015) to keep your bag in locker across the road.

Had my interview on Monday. The overall process was very quick and easy. I would say the most unpleasant part was the waiting under the rain to ebter the embassy in 10 minutes after I was let in to the Embassy I was invited to subimt my documents and then asked to wait for the interview. I waited like for 15 minutes. Then I was invited to the counter for the actual interview. That was rather a casual conversation about our relationships with the very pleasant lady
On thursday i picked up the ready documents already. unbelievably quick! we are so very happy with my fiance

We had our interview today, and our experience matched what others have said here. There is a large and not well organized line waiting to get through security. My fiancé forgot his appointment letter, so we had to race back to the hotel to get his phone so we could show that at the security check in.
Note: Feel free to bring your phone -- they will check it at security.
So, as a result, we arrived at 8:45 am for an 8:30 am appointment. And, that was not a problem. So, breath easy. After we got through security, we proceeded across the courtyard into the consular services section. He was called up immediately to drop off our documents. And, we only had a short wait to proceed up to window 13. We both came up. The officer was friendly, swore in my fiancé. Had a brief conversation in Russian. The basic questions were how we met, how we communicated, where I lived, where I worked, etc. All very easy questions. The CO also provided the IMBRA ... read complete review

Had the medical today, and that went smoothly. As others had mentioned, the medical facility is not visible from the street. You need to walk down a passage into the rear of the buildings on the street.
I am the petitioner, and I was allowed into the waiting room, but could not go up to the counter with my fiancé. Others have said they were not allowed into the building. I stayed for about 1 hour. After that, my fiancé went into his appointments, and I left. There was a coffee shop across the street (Coffee Art) that had wifi, so I waited there. Medical was about 3 hours total (8:30-11:30). Results were ready by 3 without any problems.
