Just wanted to share my interview experience for all of you out there. It was really a great experience.
First of all, thank you, everyone, for all your help and information provided. I came to the embassy at around 9.10 in the morning and we were all invited (there were about 10 of us in immigrant section) to that room at 9.20. All the staff there, starting from the guards ending with the officers were very nice and friendly. I gave all my documents to the lady, she asked for what she needed. Then in about 20 minutes I was called to do my fingerprints. An hour later, I was called to the window by an officer. The interview itself lasted 2 minutes total. The officer asked me how I met my fiancee, i told him i was an exchange student and we met in high school, then he asked me which city i was in. And after that he commented on where i worked here in ukraine, because apparently he lives right next to my work. That was it. I signed the papers and received a pink slip. ... read complete review

Interview Date: 2/23
The interview was very easy for us. The lady we talked with at the window was very nice and friendly. We gave her all the documents she asked for. I had a lot of evidence of our relationship, so much that they didn't want it all. They did ask for photos which we had. After we gave all our documents to the lady. We waited for some time. Then we were called to the window to do finger prints. Then we waited some more time. Then we were called to the window for our interview. The interview was very short, he asked a few questions. After he handed us our pink slip. Then we went outside to the white tent for visa delivery by Fedex. Our interview was on Monday 2/23 and we had our visa the next Monday 3/2.
As a USC you are allowed to carry one bag inside the consulate. Don't let anyone outside tell you different. Also when you arrive at the consulate walk up the guard outside and show him your US passport. He will have wa... read complete review

Upon arrival we were told to wait near the entrance of the consular section (which is essentially a double wide trailer), and at 9:30 were allowed in. You will to through security and walk to the back of the building to a small waiting area with about 15 chairs. While waiting for the paperwork check you’ll watch a video which shows Florida, New York, DC and Philadelphia.
You will then be called to meet a nice woman who will take your documents and file everything accordingly. She will then have you wait for your interview. Total wait time - about 90 minutes.
There were 3 other K visa interviews before us. Each flew by in 2 minutes, but ours was a doozie!!!
I had been introduced to my fiancée through a Russian-American couple via their Ukrainian friends. 3 of the 4 people involved were immigrants and 1 of them had a slightly checkered past with immigration. THANK GOD I went with my fiancée or else she would have been denied based on prob... read complete review

Our interview was scheduled at 9:30. We were told to be there at 9:15. We were allowed into the building at 9:15. Had to wait there for 3 hours for the interview! The interview took no more than seven minutes. Probably because our case was very transparent. Both of us were present at the interview. The consule was pleasant. Asked only a few questions because everything else was obvious. I lived with my fiance in his country for the past couple months, and before that he lived with me in the USA while on his work and travel program. Overall, interview was fine, the only thing we were not particularly pleased with is the long waiting time.
