That was not difficult. People at the embassy are quite friendly. There was a huge queue but the people who applied for K1 (there were only 2 of us) don't have to wait too long. So, my interview time was at 9am, and i came in at 9.10. Neither did i have to wait for the interview itself. In total the whole procedure lasted for about 30-40minutes. The questions that i was asked included the following:
- When did you meet?
- When did he come to see you first?
- Don't you think you have been together for too little time in order to decide to get married? (javascript:emoticon('') (my fiance proposed me in a month and a half after we first met)
- Where does he work?
- How is his job position called?
- Does he have any brothers/sisters?
- What are you planning to do once you are in the States?
But the question that put me at ease was "Is your fiance funny?" I said "Yes". And the consulate said that my honey smiles at e... read complete review

My fiancee had planned to travel to Kyiv to do her medical on Friday and interview on Monday. They informed her on Saturday that the interview was canceled because the petition has been sent back to the NVC.
I suspect that there is no missing information at all, but now the petition is lost in no man's land. The NVC says it sent the petition to the USCIS and the USCIS says the petition hasn't arrived, yet. Great job, guys. You deserve a big pay raise. Why don't you increase the application fee for a K-1 to $24,000. You really deserve it. And you guys at the Kyiv embassy, you should increase the fee to $12,000. You deserve it, too.

The interview at the Embassy went well. We were walking by the embassy the day before, and I asked what time we should arrive for our appointment. They said there is no need to arrive early; they were right. We showed up about 5 minutes before the time of our appointment, and a few minutes after that they called us forward and we skipped the many lines formed outside.
We waited in one room the entire time- first we submitted the documents at one window, then paid the fee down the hall and submitted the receipt back in the room we were waiting in. Then about 90 minutes later, they called Yulia up to get fingerprinted. Then about 70 minutes after that, they called Yulia up for her interview- it wasn't in a private room, just down a hallway with a privacy screen. The interviewer knew I was there, and asked to see me. I went behind the screen and she said hello and asked how we had met, it wasn't at all an interrogation, just pleasant questions. Then she asked me to l... read complete review
