My wife had her interview on June 22, 2010. She woke up early at like 6 a.m. Turkish time. She got ready and went to the Ankara US embassy at like 7:30 a.m. She said she was the first one to be there. Her appointment was at about 8:30 a.m. She said more and more people started to come and it got really crowded. Finally the embassy opened at around 8 a.m. and started to let all the people in. Than they separated the people for what kind of visa and what time they had their appointments. My wife said she just waited and waited because it was a lot of people who had interviews that day. Finally at 11:30 a.m. she was called for the interview. She didn't tell me when they called her for pre-screening and such so I don't remember that, haha. They lady asked her how we met and when we met. She didn't ask anything else. The CO wrote something on the computer than asked for our 2009 tax returns which I sent to her again. Glad I did send another copy! The CO looked at it and than asked for bank ... read complete review

We got the the consulate early and waited in line. When we got the the gate they wouldn\\\'t allow me to go in with my wife. My wife told me that she gave the doctor\\\'s paperwork to the receptionist then she gave my wife a number. About an hour later my wifes number was called for biometrics (fingerprints). Another hour later her number was called again for the interview which was in Turkish. He looked through the paperwork and asked her 3 questions: My birthdate, how long we have been married, and if I was in the military.
We couldn\\\'t provide two of the documentss that he asked for, so he gave us a light green paper with the things we need to provide. He said we have been approved but we need to send the required documents with the checklist and the passport and our visa would be provided in 5 buisness days.
5 days after the required documents were sent, the green paper said we should have received our visa. I called the embassy to find out the stat... read complete review

My fiancee said that the interview was easy. Based on the time she messaged me it looks like everything took 2 1/2 hours from the time the interview was scheduled to happen. I believe everything happened as we had expected.
She was asked a few simple questions like: How did you meet? How do you understand each other? and Where did we stay during my visits? The interviewer looked at all the documents closely especially the airplane stubs, pictures, and receipts of my travel to Turkey.

Her interviewed was 01-12-2010. The consulate asked for the translation copy of her National ID. Fortunately, she had it ready. Her visa was delivered 2 days later.
