We walked to the consular building from our hotel (Jim's Lodge on the soi behind the embassy, recommended) arriving at 6:50 for her 7:30am interview on April 9. Lots of folks already there for a variety of visas. Stayed together until it was time for her to get in line under the canopy where her passport was checked against a list of appointments. (Canopy was a nice touch since I was there last). She entered the building right after her appointment was verfied, all together about 15 minutes from our arrival. Met another guy who also accompanied his fiance and we crossed the pedestrian bridge to get coffee and wait.
She handed over her phone and purse, went through the metal detector and was directed to a seating area. K1 visa applicants were called to line up with their passports and were given a Thailand Post EMS label where the applicants were instructed to enter a mailing address and take a seat in the waiting area. (NOTE: bring a pen and paper so you can write down the EMS... read complete review

Interview was short and two the point, they swore her in and asked 4 questions.
1) How did you meet and when?
2) How many times did your finance come see you? ( of note he was pleasantly surprised that I had visited 3 times in a less then a 12 month timeframe)
3) What does he do for work?
4) Where does he live?
Your visa is approved and you should have it in one week.

My fiancee went for the interview yesterday. Got into the embassy at about 7:30am for her 8am interview. She was in with many tourist visa applicants. At about 7:45am, she was called up to the first window. Over the course of about 20 minutes, she submitted her single certificate, name change certificate (she changed spelling of her first name years ago), passport....and the one that surprised me, the book we prepared of relationship evidence. With each item, the very nice Thai lady that was assisting her, was typing information into the computer.....which is why this took 20 minutes. This gal asked her a couple of questions.........1. was whether or not she ever lived in another country for more than one year, and 2. do you have travel plans. With regard to the travel plans, my fiancee said she would like to go this month...April. The gal told her "ok, but do not buy a ticket until you have the physical visa in your hand. If approved, it will arrive in one week." Othe... read complete review

APPROVED!!! Her interview was scheduled at 9am, we arrived at 8am, there were tons of people in line, about 30 minutes later she went in and I waited. I went back and forth from the restaurant to outside the embassy and around 10:30 she comes out with a huge smile on her face!
She said she went to the window, gave her documents, she gave more photos they said, “Ok ok that’s enough haha†then she sat down again. Then she talked to a guy and he didn’t ask anything except if our baby had a passport and said we will get the visa in one week. That was it!
