Visa approved!
My interview date was at 4/17/2014 7:45am, I arrived the consulate at 7:30 and got in on time. However, it took 45 mins to submit my documents, and after I submitted my documents, I waited another 45 mins to get to the interview window. However, the officer didn't ask me a lot of questions..I am guessing the lady at the documents submitting window has done the job for him. Anyway, besides the waiting, the overall process was nice. I got my visa at 4/22/2014.

What is last time to see my husband?
A few people are asked to provide the birth certificate.
Below is from the interview document.
NOTE: People born in Taiwan and the People’s Republic of China may apply for an original household registration in lieu of a birth certificate. The original household registration is the initial household registry that the applicant registered with the Household Administration after birth in Taiwan or upon first arrival in Taiwan. A household registration record (hukou) shows the name of the person, date of birth, names of parents and name of spouse, if married, and date of divorce, if applicable. A properly certified document will have a certification stamped on it, and will be impressed with the seal of the household registration in red ink. Household registration records may be obtained at local Household Administration offices in Taiwan. You may find more detailed information about how to apply for the Household R... read complete review

People are nice at AIT, they just ask the normal questions and collect your documents. And only took little bit over onhe hour to finish, so its a nice experience.

The entire interview and waiting process went fairly quickly according to my fiance. He was in at 7:30 am and done by 9:30 am.
The CO\'s did ask him a bunch of questions though (10-15 questions) including, my full name, where I work, what I do, how we met, how many times I visited, how often do we talk, about prior marriage, why I wasn\'t the one immigrating to Taiwan. He says that they asked a lot of questions of all the people who were there interviewing that day. He mentioned that there was one man who got quite nervous and kind of blundered through his answers and that made the CO a little bit suspicious. So stay calm and relaxed no matter how and what questions are thrown at you. He was interviewed in both English and Mandarin.
He says it was quite thorough and somewhat intrusive, that\'s to be expected. The bad thing is that there is no privacy and everyone in the waiting room can basically hear the questions and answers since they use a microphone to interv... read complete review
