Interview was conducted on 28 Nov 06. I am entering this for my fiance Jung A. Her apt was for 9:30. She sat there for almost 2 hrs before being seen. Once at the window lady ask her mutiple ques. about myself. Like ques about my 2 boys and my divorce. How long we have been together. Once complete I guess their system went down and they told her to come back at 3 that afternoon. She came back at 3 and finished up the paperwork. I wish I could have been there to make the interview less complicated and more easy for Jung A. But I was not able to be there during that time frame. Very stressful for her. I do recommend if able to attend the interview with your fiance do so. it is less stress for him or her.

Interview was less than 5 minutes. Very cordial but inquisitive. We were there together which I think our case tremoundously given our basic handle on Korean and English. We demonstrated that we have no problem communicating. Overall a stressful, but easy process.

My fiance had an interview 10/31/2006 at the US Embassy in Seoul. I was in Korea at the time. I did not go to the interview with him, we did not know it was allowed. They asked him to come back the next day with me. The officer had many doubts that my fiance intended a real marriage - she said because he is not steadily employed and has four children it seems like he would do anything to get into America for the education of his children...she wondered if he really intended to stay with me.. we worked hard to convince her that we really love each other... I felt this interview was tough, not easy like most of the reviews I see here. I am still uncertain of the outcome...it's neither approved nor denied yet. Finally she said she would take our words at face value, but she still needs further documentation about things on the police report. So we have to wait for that. I was asked why I wanted to marry a Korean man (the interviewer was a Korean American, and said even for her... read complete review

I am posting this for my fiance Zaeem. He got to the Consulate about an hour and half early, yet he still had to wait 2 hours to be called to the window and he was first in line. So, be ready to wait when you get there. His interview took a total of about an hour, which is unusually long for interviews. Our case however, was a little different than the normal cases going through the Korean Consulate. The main questions asked were about my finances, they wanted to make sure he knew everything about my finances. They asked him when we had our first argument. They asked him about our communication skills and to give an example of them. They asked him many many different things about me, luckily he knew all the answers. I had some surgery done years ago and they asked him something that led to him having to explain what kind of surgery I had and why. I have a son, they asked question about him. So, he was thoroughly interviewed. Zaeem said the CO was polite the whole time, she wa... read complete review
