So patient and helpful. Everyone in the office had a smile and listened to anything we said patiently. I can see how easily one can get frustrated with having to deal with people not having the proper paperwork, explanations, and questions but I noticed everyone at the embassy was calm and helpful. It really made me feel more comfortable because of course it is a big day for us and we are nervous. It seems that the people from beginning to end understand and are willing to help.

Arrived 1- hour early for the appointment. Good thing we did because of the expected/ anticipated wait times. Staff had an initial VISA preparer, followed by the VISA preparer asking some standard question and any other discrepancies towards your specific VISA packet. There were only 2 Interviewers for 30 Applications (business employee, students, fiancee, spouses, children) so we had to wait for a bit. Overall wait from entering the embassy to the end of our VISA interview was 3 1/2 hours. The Interviewer was fair and unbiased to what my spouse had to say. Overall good outcome. I look forward to our future endeavors for her Citizenship down the road.

K1 Interview
Arrived at 710am for 8am appointment. First in line. Line started getting long at 715am. They opened up the door at 730am. We proceeded upstairs to check in. After that we had to go up one more floor to wait for the real processing of our papers. There we learned that being first in the building doesn't determine your place in the queue for processing as other people were called first. On the information display it says though: "Your interview will be conducted within 2hours of your appointment time".
First our paperwork was reviewed by a korean clerk. When everything checked out she told us to have a seat and wait for the consul to call us.
After my fiancee was sworn in by the consul he asked her a few simple questions: when/where did you meet your fiancee? How did he propose? When will you get married? (We answered that that depends on his decision with a smile on our face). He then concluded with: "your visa is approved. cong... read complete review

My visa journey started from pretty much February of this year. My husband and I got married in Korea on paper in February so that we can start working on getting my spousal visa for the U.S. Here's the whole timeline for my visa journey:
1. We got appointment for the petition 1-130 on May 3, 2016.
2. Got the petition approval mail on June 17, 2016
3. Had our wedding ceremony on July 9, 2016 in Korea.
4. Packet 3 email received on July 21, 2016
5. Medical exam done on October 5, 2016
6. We got the visa interview appointment on November 17, 2016, and it was approved on the interview day.
7. Got my passport mailed to me the next day on November 18, 2016!!
My journey with this visa preparation has been very time consuming and confusing because the situation that my husband and I are in is very unique. I am a Korean citizen and my husband is US citizen, and we met in Beijing, China at work. So, since we are in China... read complete review
