The Visa interview was difficult. Because the appointment was 7:30AM and my fiance lives far from Seoul, we got an AirBnB close to the embassy. She came the previous day to Seoul. At the interview, we had some trouble. Because of our unique immigration background, the officer asked many questions. SH (my fiance) accidentally stayed too long in the USA one time. He definitely mentioned this, and she was honest when he asked. Her overstay was less than 3 months, so it didn't prevent our approval.
Second, I (we) don't have enough money for sponsorship for now (I just finished grad school last year). My Mom agreed to co-sponsor. The officer didn't care much about my finances, but carefully reviewed my mother's. Also, he didn't care about three years of tax information--just last year. So, most of my documents were useless.
His only other questions were about the relationship history, like "how did you meet?" and start dating, etc. Basically, his job to make ... read complete review

Took my K1 visa interview two months ago in Seoul, South Korea. I got there like 30-40 minutes early. They only allow you to bring one electric device but since I was staying in a hotel close to the embassy I didn't even bring my cellphone. I probably waited 2 hours total to be interviewed so be prepared. Seemed like some officers would talk in Korean if the applicants don't speak good English but they were also asked questions like "how do you communicate with your fiance then? google translator?", "would you marry him if you get approved? and would you not marry him if you don't get approved?". I kinda felt like they could question the relationship with language problem so I'd personally recommend to prepare your interview in English. This officer who interviewed me was nice and friendly. Only asked like 5 questions but most of them were related to my American fiance like what he does for living, does he make enough money to support me and things like that. At the end of the intervie... read complete review

we both went to the US Embassy in S Korea for her interview. The KOREAN young female officer ( about 25 yrs old ) asked totally unrelated questions to our marriage such as "Why we didn't do this sooner?" They asked my wife "what my ex wife does for a living" non-sense questions. We answered truthfully, but the officer kept saying " hard to believe" She asked about my disability and medications i took. The officer asked to see the 601A and all the documents that led up to the approval from the USCIS so she can recalculate everything. Acted as if she was GOD. Then she said it was TOO COMPLICATED , hands us a DENIAL ( without a reason) and puts it into processing review. NOW WE ARE STUCK IN S KOREA, cannot leave to anywhere because they took her passport. She has no ID at this point. 2 weeks later of walking around in a total nightmare ( and i mean a really really bad nightmare) we miss our flight home. Then we call our local congressman back in the states, and he starts inqui... read complete review
