Everything went smoothly, I hope, very similar to other reports about the embassy.
They told us that sometimes people submit their documents and then leave before fingerprints and the actual interview, so don't let that be you!
Questions they asked:
How old is your spouse?
When and how did you meet?
When did you decide to get married?
Have you been to the US?
Are his parents also from (state he lives in)?
When do you intend to move to the US?
Were either of you married before?
Do you have any children together or from previous relationships?
Do you have any questions for me?
They said I will receive my passport back after 7-10 days.
Hopefully the visa will be issued and no problems.
Everyone was super nice!!
Good luck out there guys!

Tips
1. Bring your latest 1040 tax return as opposed to or in conjunction with the tax transcript.
2. They looked at everything they asked in the interview instruction email.
3. Arrive early as it is first come first serve. They started the interview right on time and my finance was the first to go up.
4. If you are from another country tell them you need to return to your country so they may process your visa faster.
5. The medical appointment must be 2 weeks before interview.
It’s crazy to think that people who need to interview in a country other their own needs to wait 2 weeks between medical & interview & then possibly another 2 weeks after approval for the visa to mailed.very unclea, stressful process.

Everything was great! If we had any questions regarding timelines or updates the embassy ALWAYS responded to our emails either same day or next, no later. So I really appreciated that!
The interview was well organized, no hassle, nice flow of traffic and straight to the point. From waiting to end if interview it took about an hour.

Medical check up:
I saw horrific reviews (JHB) so I was really worried, but it was pretty smooth. You truly have to allot a whole day to getting it done, just be patient (bring a book/ download some shows) and you'll be fine! Make sure to bring everything they ask in the email + a pen. The location of the clinic is literally inside Sandton City Mall, by the standard bank (I accidentally went to another location but they were understanding about my being late).
Interview:
For some reason I thought it would be a one-on-one interview in a room, but it was just an informal questioning at the tbank eller/booth area. Again, make sure you bring a pen! Total took around 1.5 hours at the consulate. You're not allowed your phone/ electronics past the entrance so maybe bring a book/ Sudoku puzzle. Most important items to bring: passport, birth certificate+copy, other applicable death/divorce/military certificates+copies, visa size photos, police clearance certificate... read complete review

Jon arrived at the consulate approximately 90 minutes prior to his appointment time, and passed through security without issue. He stayed at the nearby Protea Hotel Johannesburg Balalaika Sandton, and was able to leave his luggage with the concierge until after the interview.
After passing security, Jon was given a blue folder and a checklist and asked to place the documents listed into the folder. Even then, the CO did not review them all (see below).
CO met with Jon at a window setting, and was very straightforward and professional with his approach. Questions were only five in total:
*What is your fiancée's name
*Where does she live
*How did you two meet
*Have you ever met in person
*What are your wedding plans
Very simple and to the point. Other COs seemed a bit friendlier but the one Jon had was just all business. He spent much longer with other interviewees prior to Jon but for some reason, everything w... read complete review
