Review Topic: K1 Visa

I applied for K1 fiance visa., and I am overall pleased with the US embassy in Singapore as they are very efficient and hassle-free. They are very quick in responding to emails.

My appointment was on 30 January, 9.30am. I arrived at 9.15am and went straight into the building. I had to pass through the security check, and had to only surrender my phone and earphones. After entering the building, they guided me into a room for the interview. The room was sort of like a bank teller kind of room, where you can hear other people's interviews. I was told to take a seat until my name was called out. I only waited for only 20 minutes before they called my name out at counter 7, where they normally conduct immigrant visa interviews.

The first counter (counter 7), the officer (a Singaporean lady), only asked me to submit a couple of documents, so this was not the interview:
- Original of Certificate of Clearance
- Passport photo (2x)
- Original ... read complete review

Here is Haney's review of her embassy visit on November 20th, 2018:

My appointment was at 1:30PM, but I arrived about 40 minutes early just to be safe. I ended up having to wait outside, the guard wouldn't let me in, even after I showed him my appointment letter. It was warm, but I suppose that's better than being late. There was no line, just a family waiting for a non-immigrant visa, so we waited together.

At 1:20PM the guard called us both to him for the usual security checks. I had my bag with the documents for the interview, and otherwise my phone and headset. The phone and headset were collected, and I was given a token for later. There was a short X-ray machine, similar to the airport. They found an electronic bank token in my bag, which they also collected for later. I had to pass through a metal detector, and that was it.

As instructed, I went down the hall to the left. When I arrived, the room was as many have described, with telle... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

I was at the embassy 20 minutes prior to my appointment. Everything went well, although Fullerton hasn't sent them my medical report so I'll have to wait for that... Here's my review:

- Got there 20 minutes prior to appointment (not necessary but I wanted to get there with time to spare)
- Handed over my smartphone and earphones to the guard before passing through the detector
- A lady told me to wait for my name to be called at counter 7
- I didn't find a clock anywhere in the waiting room so I am quite thankful I wore a watch. That helped me keep track of time.
- There's a instant photo booth in the waiting room but it's 10 dollars for 2 photos. Just FYI! Like most people, I got my photos done somewhere else for much cheaper.
- They called my name around 10 minutes past my appointment time. Went to counter 7.
- The officer at counter 7 asked for my passport, birth certificate, certificate of clearance, I-134, passport photos... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Interview was simple. First window your documents are checked and returned as needed. Second window was the consular interview where she asked few Q's on the relationship. Did not ask to see tons of evidence brought or pictures or anything. She issued a 221g for original translation of birth certificate & police certificate. All I had was US notarized translated copies. Also the Fullerton health clinic had a typo in my name (this clinic is about the most disorganized place I have ever been to. So careless and incompetent and unprofessional. They are not to be trusted to get things done right). I went got the translations requested for next day delivery then stopped by clinic to push them to send a corrected report IMMEDIATELY. The next day I rcvd the translations and got an email from the clinic with a delivery slip confirming that the US embassy rcvd the corrected report same day. I dropped off the translations at Aramex and they rcvd Friday Aug 31.

Unfortunately from ... read complete review
