We had generally good service from the Riyadh embassy. There were a couple of glitches. Our initial processing was delayed as we were married in the UAE and the embassy said that our marriage documents (according to their references) were incomplete (no Sharia court registration) and we had to verify that our marriage was properly registered. Prior to this, we did what the consulate in Dubai told us was required and got the required stamps, etc. We then hired a lawyer in Dubai, who told us that our documents were in order, and Sharia court registration is not required for non-Muslim marriages. At this point, the embassy sent an email to the embassy in Abu Dhabi asking if our documents were OK. Abu Dhabi embassy said yes, and we were allowed to submit our package. The embassy could have done this earlier and saved us 3 weeks of time and $300! The package 3 and 4 took about 1 month to reach us via Saudi mail, which put us in something of a time bind in January. Interviewed by two different people at length, asked us both some general questions. They were friendly and said all your paperwork is in order. The only thing that stood out is the amount of people that got rejected or denied. Almost everybody was denied. You can see it on their faces. My wife got her visa in 31 days after the interview. Best of luck to everybody.

The Riyadh Embassy Staff are very polite and friendly. They supported us throughout our journey since day 1 and up to the day of my visa approval... There were some ordinary mistakes and practical inconvenience like delays, but overall they were helpful...

Officers are very helpful and friendly the only thing I didn't like about this embassy is the long hours of waiting. My schedule was 1:30 and I finished my interview at around 4:20 pm.

The interview went great!!
The consular was very nice and helpful. They just asked me for my marriage pictures, and recent tax of petitioner if you have it. Try to focus on getting a good amount of pictures, they play an important role. You should have all your documents in your native language too example original marriage certificate. Which for us was in urdu. Answer all the questions with confidence, and relax, it will go great!! Good Luck!! My experience was a great!!
