I was very worried how the interview at the Embassy would go. I should not of worried. I was alone with the American Consul in a small room, behind glass. She was a woman. Her attitude towards me was very friendly:-).
The questions were in Russian. She spoke very beautiful Russian with an American accent . She asked the usual questions of how, when, and where did you meet?." "What is the name of your Fiance and when was he born?." "Did you introduce him to your family?" "He was married?" "Who are these cute children in the photo?"
Then she said "Congratulations! Your American visa is approved! Your visa and passport will be sent by courier within a week at the specified address". And it was so!
I said to her in English "Nice to meet you"! And she answered me too in English "Nice to meet you too" !
I prepared for an interview in English for a year! I had to say something in English ! ha ha

My interview process was really fast. I came to the Embassy at 10 a.m. and I came out at 10.47 a.m. The Council was pretty nice and polite. He asked just several questions. So, good luck!

Appointment was scheduled for 10:00, she arrived at 9:30. The whole process took about 2 hours.
Questions asked: Where and how we met, where she works, where do I work and what do I do. Questions about a couple of the pictures. And that was it.
They took almost all the requested documents. So be sure to take it all and then some just in case. Pictures they asked for and looked at, but letters and our Skype screen shots of our conversation history they didn't look at.
Overall it all went well. Technically the visa hasn't yet been approved. She had some issues with the X-ray during her medical exam the previous day and so needs further testing for TB. However there was no need to reschedule the interview. Once the results are in, the clinic will forward the results to the consulate and if all is well then she'll get the visa shortly after that. Apparently it's a pretty common occurrence with x-rays, so if it happens to you don't sweat it too ... read complete review

Well, it's done! She was approved this morning!
Her appointment was at 10am and there were 5 other "Brides" there. The whole process moved relatively quickly and she was in and out in 2 hours. When she made it into the interview room, she met with a nice gentleman with a NY accent and he seemed relieved to do an interview in English! The interview lasted about 5 minutes and the questions asked were:
Why did you choose RussianPersonals.com to look?
Why did she choose me?
What is my job and her job?
Does she know my arrest record?
That was it. She forgot the form where she had changed her surname after her parents divorce and he said just bring that back to us and you are approved. Congratulations! She went home, got the form and went right back so she is done. She said it was very easy and no pressure but they took almost all the paperwork she had, tax forms, paystubs, employer letter, bank statements, pictures and... read complete review
