Went there for K3 with my son-it was a long wait, but the consular officer was very nice, very polite -no rough comments, no stupid questions...I was told I was approved and received visa the same day-3 hours later.
Also, the visa appointment was 2 weeks after all documents were ready-took me longer to put them together...

We went through Bucharest Consulate for a K1 Visa, and the people there were awesome! They were very nice and helpful, we got to pick up packet 3 the same day we called to see if they received it from NVC, and they programed out interview 1 week after we called to schedule it. They reply to e-mails pretty fast too (3 days average).
The Consulate is very fast in processing this kind of visas, if you consider how long it takes for other countries. I got my visa in 2 weeks after the I-129F packet got to Bucharest from NVC.
Go Romania!

I was told to go up the stairs to the ACS window but ha, ha...there were hundreds of people everywhere and windows galore. I went back down stairs and the American at the desk told me up the stairs to the right. I waited in line and was given a form to fill out. I submitted the form and they told me it would be 10 minutes. Meanwhile, 30 minutes to 45 minutes goes by and they say, in another few minutes. Sure enough, they call my name and I get my document. Since I am getting married, they gave me information about marrying in Romania and how to file DCF. They asked me if I needed immigration forms. I was like.. "Here you go, m'aam.... read complete review
