Overall very positive experience.
There is no way around it...you will be nervous and uneasy until after the interview is over. The staff at the embassy makes every attempt to ease your suffering, and is very friendly and professional.
We arrived at the embassy 45 min ahead of interview and had to wait outside until 1pm and name is called. Upon entering you go through security (similar like at the airport) and leave all electronics and liquids at the front.
After you are escorted to a room which is similar set up like a post office with window booths (1-16) and area for people to sit. You are called several times to different booths 1) drop off passport, 2)take fingerprints, 3) drop off sealed medical package provided from medical exam, drop off birth certificate, copy of birth certificate, affidavit of support, proof of relationship, 4) you pay the visa fee $240 usd, and 5) you have the interview.
Interview went well as both... read complete review

Medical exam at Regina Maria, Bucharest, Romania
The appointment was at 9.30 am, but I got there around 9.00 am. The girl from the reception didn't saw my appointment in her computer, as the scheduling was made directly with Dr. Toma. After telling her I was there for the visa purpose, the girl from the reception told me to wait and some nurse would come out and take my passport.
At 9.30 am, a nurse came and asked how many of us were there for the visa. She took the passports (there was another couple there for the visa), and then she took me to another room to take my blood sample. While she was putting all my info in the computer, another nurse took my blood (they take a very small, insignificant amount of blood). After that, she told me to go to room #6, where Dr. Toma will see me for my consultation. Dr. Toma was already with someone else in the room, so I waited a few minutes. While I was waiting, another nurse came out and said I can do the X-ray of my lu... read complete review

Interviul a avut loc in 25 Aprilie, lumea astepta peste drum sa fie chemata in interiorul ambasadei. In jur de ora 13 vine un ofiter cu o lista si verifica pasapoartele cu lista pe care o are si cheama apoi tot cate 2 persoane inauntru. Se trece pe la... read complete review

I was the first in the line, appointment was scheduled at 1pm.At 12.50 we were invited in consulate(I was there with my husband). Before that they asked my passport and my husband's passport and they checked me on the list.At 1.05 a romanian lady asked me to give medicals to one window. After that I was asked about bonafides. To the next window they took my fingerprints.
At 1.20 I started my interview(window no 11).My interviewer was a nice afro-americal lady, she asked me in romanian to swear that everything I say is true.
After she asked if I want to speak in english or romanian ,I said english of course.
The interview lasted no longer than 2 minutes and it was a lot more easier than I thought it will be.Questions:
When did you meet?What site?
When he first visited?
When did you marry?
Anyone from his family attended?
Do you have any relatives in the USA?
That was all!!She didnt ask nothing about my husband but for sure she kn... read complete review
