Hi all,

After 2 years of a pain in the ass process, I finally got to the interview stage.
Today, 4th of May, 1pm, I had the interview.
I got there 15 mins before and they had all the people wait in front in the embassy, across the street. A bit after 1pm, a security guy came out to check the passports and then one by one, we entered the embassy. First through security checking of course: phones off, they scan the bag and jackets.
Then we went to the next building. There we had to wait for our names to be called.
First window, I had to provide the passport and the 2 pictures. After this I had to wait on the chair again.
Second window, they took my finger prints. Back to my chair.
Third window, they collected proof of relationship, original documents, TNT confirmation printed page, medical package. Back to my chair.
In 10 mins, they called my name again. This time it was the actual interview:
- how did you meet?... read complete review

My interview was scheduled at 1pm. I got there 40 minutes earlier. After security check, I got inside the Embassy where I had to give my passport, then go to another window to pay the Visa Fee, at another window my fingerprints were taken, after that they called my name at the first window to give all the documents needed, and then wait to have the interview. I waited around 10 minutes.Me and my daughter were the third one to be interviewed.
Questions asked:

How we met? What`s my fiance job? When did he came to visit first time? When did he came to visit second time? What's my job? etc, nothing unusual.plus some questions for my daughter, does she wannna go there? why does she wanna go to the USA?

.... "your Visa will be delivered in 2 days, Congratulations!"

We arrived at the embassy much too early, maybe 45 minutes or so, but my wife was concerned, and with good reason, that we could be held up in traffic. The last time we had gone to the embassy, we were about 15 minutes late because of a traffic jam that is fairly typical in Bucharest. Well they made us wait outside the entire 45 minutes and it was both cold and windy. By the time we finally got inside, we were both shivering and had uncontrollably runny noses.

We were the first let into the embassy even though we were towards the end of the list that the officer was working off of. I'm not sure, but it may have been because I, an American citizen, was accompanying my wife. We went through the usual airport security style kabuki dance and were told to go to the next building.

We hadn't even rounded the first corner and there was a lady at window 1 asking my wife for her passport.. in Romanian, which I understand some, but not terribly much. We barely hande... read complete review

My interview experience was truly amazing. The staff at The US Embassy in Bucharest are really nice. In case it helps anyone, here is my experience: I had the interview yesterday. The whole experience took like 25-30 minutes. First in the embassy they got me through metal detector and checked all I was carrying, after that they sent me in the building where I was having the interview, a nice lady asked for my passport, for my renewed police certificate, the medical, the TNT confirmation (this is only for Romania) and all the proofs of relationship. This took like maximum 5 minutes. After the CO called my name, took my fingerprints and my oath. The consul asked me how we met, how many times my husband visited me and when we married. And that was all! He said "Congratulations, your visa is approved! You can pick it up on monday. Welcome to America!" On the website it showed ISSUED in less than an hour after the interview. I am so happy!!!! POE is on Boston on the 7th Nov. Yaaaaay!!!!!!!! ... read complete review

Hello, everyone.
I can honestly say I have never been more stressed in my life like I was before this interview.
I was scheduled at 1 pm. Around that hour the guards (not the nicest people ever) grouped us, the people waiting outside,in pairs and sent us inside where we had to go through the security check. As you all probably know, no one is allowed with electronics inside. They took my phone and stored it while I was inside. After the security check we went into another building into a waiting room.
Just as I sat down on a chair, they called my name at window 2 and the woman behind it, asked me for my passport and a visa format picture. I handed those to her and she asked me to sit down. After a few minutes later they called me at window 3 and asked me to go to the window 12 to pay the visa fee.
After 10 more minutes I had to go to window 6 and hand them the documents I was supposed to bring with me. Me and my fiance are both divorced and on the list from... read complete review
