Review Topic: K1 Visa

Sooooooooo....this interview was a breeze, only 3 questions asked! I was ready for a full interrogation, but it was all very easy.
I had my papers in order , colored-coded with tabs , and all! This helped a lot because they'll ask you for some papers depending on what they want , and being nervous for the interview does not help, so it was super easy to find it by having colors for personal documents, another colour for the docs of the US citizen, another colour for the Economical part, and another one for the evidence of relationship. and then label each one...lots of work but I rather be safe than sorry.

Our appointment was for 8:30, we got there at 7:15, got in line (the looooong one outside the embassy) then they asked for the appointment and my passport and my fiance's. Then they moved us to the US Citizen's line, I can only assume this is because my US Fiance was with me? or because I would eventually become one?, but IT DEFINITELY HELPED having him the... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My appointment was this morning at 8.15am (Nov 12th, 2019). I got there around 7am and there was already plenty of people in line. Since I was applying for an immigrant Visa I got moved to a shorter line so I just waited like 15min to get inside. Once inside, I was told to organize the documents in a certain way, so I did and delivered them to a window (#12) where a nice lady also asked a few questions and handed me two papers: one with information about protection for immigrants in the US and the other one with a statement saying that once they take your fingerprints you are practically swearing under perjury that everything you will say during the interview will be true. After that, I got called to the next window (#11) where an American CO was the only one interviewing. He spoke both English and Spanish to me and was very nice and friendly. His questions were: how did you meet your husband? Where does he live? What's the name of the company that you worked for in the US? How long di... read complete review

Review Topic: General Review

My fiancé had his K1 interview and was at the embassy a few hours. He said it was a relatively painless process. He was not asked a lot of questions even though I was not there. CO asked how many times we met. He forgot to bring a copy of receipt for paying visa fees so the CO looked it up in the system.

He organized all of his other papers in a folder and said that was really helpful. He spoke with one officer in Spanish and the other in English and pretty much just went with whatever language they were speaking.

The actual interview he said only lasted 5 to 10 minutes in total. He brought information to prove an ongoing relationship and an updated intent to marry letter but was not asked for any of it.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Hello y'all. My fiancee had her interview two days ago and she got her visa approved. It was really fast; she got there one hour before her appointment. Don't forget to bring the DS160 is the paper that the guys outside will ask you to show. She told me that the line outside of the embassy was long but since she was going for the K1 visa she skep the line and went to a much shorter line inside of the embassy. Then she got inside of the building and a lady called her out to ask for her documents (all of them). Then she got one of the papers that she had to read before the interview. After 15 min she was called for the interview. The questions that they asked were where we met, how we met, last time we saw us each other, where I live ( actual address, she did not remember the address but she was asked which city was it), if I was working, and about the proposal. Then after that she got her visa approved and now we are waiting for her passport.

My fiancée said it was very quick and since he had followed the instructions from the embassy with how to organize the paper work, it was fairly quick. The interview itself was only about 4 minutes and very straight forward. He had a good attitude and smiled at the people he spoke with to make it easier to get the visa altogether 😅
