My appointment was this morning at 8.15am (Nov 12th, 2019). I got there around 7am and there was already plenty of people in line. Since I was applying for an immigrant Visa I got moved to a shorter line so I just waited like 15min to get inside. Once inside, I was told to organize the documents in a certain way, so I did and delivered them to a window (#12) where a nice lady also asked a few questions and handed me two papers: one with information about protection for immigrants in the US and the other one with a statement saying that once they take your fingerprints you are practically swearing under perjury that everything you will say during the interview will be true. After that, I got called to the next window (#11) where an American CO was the only one interviewing. He spoke both English and Spanish to me and was very nice and friendly. His questions were: how did you meet your husband? Where does he live? What's the name of the company that you worked for in the US? How long did you stay in the US and when did you get back to Peru? Have you applied for an adjustment of status or a visa extension in the US? That was pretty much it, his way of speaking to me was so nice that I didn't feel nervous at all. The interview lasted less than 5 minutes and I got approved! Got out of the embassy at 8:55am.
