arrived early for our appointment, for 8:30am. submitted papers at window 12, then waited what seemed like a long time for the first person to finish her interview, who I later found out was denied...We were the next in line, entered the infamous, room 15.. the co, first had trouble with the fingerprint scanner, then reviewed our papers, asked meche a few questions in spanish, how did we meet, when did we get married, what did she like about me, blah blah blah..finally said we had a problem with US domicile, so I was prepared with a mountain of documents, and explained the situation..He then said ok, looks good, and granted the visa..Thanks to one and all, for the tremendous amount of information on this site...My advice to all, is to educate yourself on the process, take one step at a time, be patient, and it will all work out..If DFC is an option for you it is the only way to go...From submitting the I-130 to visa in hand was 5 weeks..unbelievably fast..thanks to all...Daniel and Mec... read complete review

We had our appointment at 8.45 AM on Friday 18th. The day before we were literally going crazy, organizing all our papers (I swear it looked like a bible, tons of everything), photocopying things, etc. My fiancé arrived on the 16th, late at night, to attend the interview with me. We stood in line, got our things checked and electronic devices kept until we left. After a few minutes, we were called to one of the little windows there are inside, 13th window, I think. We were asked to hand in the forms, my certificates and medical exam results; also, my fiancé had the supporting documentation for the I-134 (it was massive! and I am thankful he was there, he proved to be way more organized and calm than I am. In addition, I was asked a few questions and the person that asked them wrote down my answers on the computer. How I met Jared, how long we had been together, how many times he had been here, if we had been previously married or not. I realized this interviewer had an electr... read complete review

Other than electrifying my nerves with a death stare when she saw that my previous passport was mutilated (it went through the wash last year) and replaced, our interviewer was very cordial and friendly, telling us stories from days of yorn and about her experiences. We spent about two hours at the embassy and other than the required documents, we were only asked for pictures and emails, which were both reviewed by the interviewer and we had to answer some simple questions about them. We also had to answer questions about how we met, but those are a piece of cake, right??

Sorry about the last entry! Whoops, thought I could come back and edit it...
We arrived together at the Embassy about 8:00 for our 8:30 appt. We sat down and were called up twice to little windows that were there (small waits in between). We had to give our papers to the two different people that we talked to at the windows: police certificates, medical exam, birth certificate, all of the forms that we filled out for the government (ds-156, ds-157 (these first two items were not included in the packet 3), of156-k, of-179 (from packet 3)) and his passport. Each of the two ladies asked us a few questions: How many times did Shannon come to visit you? How long have you known each other? When did you meet? I think that we also handed over the I-134 and its supporting documents at that time as well.
After another little wait, we were called to room 15, where the actual interview took place. I asked if I could be there with David and he said yes. ... read complete review

The interview was much simpler than I expected it to be... 2 windows, handed over some papers (police certificates, all forms that we filled out for them (8 billion it seemed), I-134 and its documentation, receipt of payment,
