The interview went very good, we went together, thought we had all our papers, but we needed 1 document. The interviewer was very nice and said for us to mail in the necessary missing form by DHL. We did that the same day. The visa arrived 5 days later by DHL. Hassle free experience.

We arrived at 7:25am and our appointment was at 8:35am. We were the first K-1 couple in line. We entered the embassy at about 8:05am. At about 8:20am, we were called to one of the windows. My fiancee was asked about 10 simple questions in spanish and we had to provide some documentation (i.e. financial support documentation and other requested forms that were requested in the packet). The interviewer was very nice and we were at the window for about 10 minutes.

At about 8:40am, we were called to the interview room. The second interviewer was also very nice. The interviewer asked about 15 simple questions and then said that the Visa was approved. This took about 10 minutes.

We then went outside to the DHL waiting area to get the receipt for picking up the Visa and passport (the interview was on Friday and the Visa and passport were available for pickup from DHL on the following Tuesday). We had to wait at the DHL office for... read complete review

After all the months and loads of paperwork, my fiance finally had his interview. Unfortunately he received the "dreaded" yellow paper advising him of yet more documentation which is needed. Has anyone out there had this experience??

Our appointment was scheduled for 24 March. We did not learn that until 10 March when I called the consulate. Luis did not receive papers for next steps until the 16th of March. This was a little too quick for me to be able to get down there for the interview. Today I spoke with the consulate and they said no problem to change the interview date. They can not guarantee a date but they did note our preference. They said I could call next week for the new date. They also said a new packet is sent out when the date is changed. I also learned that instead of waiting more than 2 weeks for the packet of papers to make it through the mail, Luis can go and pick up the papers at the consulate. You just have to let them know you want to pick them up instead of having them mailed.

Lenys interview went well and she was approved. Interview appointment was for 9am. She arrived at 7:45 this morning allowed into the embassy at 8:15. Was asked for paperwork....first lady asked how we met. How long have we known each other....how many times has your fiance returned to spend time together. How many kids does your fiance have names ages. Fotos were asked for. Leny does not speak english very well and did the interview in spanish, she was alone. She felt very comfortable (lil nervous) but everyone was very helpful in the Embassy. When took the oath with the final lady and signed her paperwork, she was surprised when the lady said ok you pay 16 soles DHL and receive your visa this friday. Leny said thats it nothing more. Laughing yep thats it. Interview went very well and always treated with respect.

I think the most important thought when you go into the interview for everyone is just to be honest...if they ask y... read complete review
