I thought that the experience was similar to those that have posted comments in the past. My fiance went to the embassy and was in and out in an hour and a half. I guess it pays to submit a good I-129F petition. Because the Consular Office made their decision based on the information submitted for the petition. They had everything that I had submitted there with them. My fiance took several documents to prove the relationship after NOA1, but she said that they did not even look at that. Overall, I'd say our experience with the Lima consulate regarding the K-1 Visa was outstanding.

Medical exam:
Physical exam was pretty simple. My fiancé was only asked to take off his shirt and shoes. Doctor checked his heart, blood pressure, eyes, height, weight, etc. He asked him a few questions – what type of visa, where does your fiancée live, do you smoke, and have you had any major surgeries. He was sent to different areas in the building to have his xrays and blood taken. According to what the doctor checked off on the order for blood work (I’m not positive about this but this is what it seemed to be), they checked for syphilis, HIV, glucose levels, kidney and liver function levels (perhaps because my fiancé checked off ‘yes’ for alcohol). Then he had his xrays and that was about it. He had his medical exam on a Tuesday morning and was told to pick up the results on Friday afternoon.
Visa Interview (I attended with my Peruvian fiancé):
Our interview was scheduled for 8:45am and we arrived an hour early – m... read complete review

tood in line outside the embassy for about 5 minutes. then we went through the metal detectors and follow the signs to the right and stood in another line for about 9 minutes. then they let us and told us to wait by the windows for immigrant visas. After about 4 minutes they called us up and asked us if we had the payment and the forms, we said yes and they sent us to another window with a green form to pay. while we were waitint to pay the lady at the window next to the cashier called us other. first she asked us for the police certificates and birth cetificates. then she asked us if we had the DS156 and those forms. i handed those over. She sent jimmy back to pay and i stayed with her to give her the forms. JImmy paid in cash. he said everyone paid in cash and suspects that they dont actually accept credit card. after that, she asked us a couple questions. im not sure abou tthe order. She asked how we met. in what year we met. We talked about cooking and that jimmy was studying to ... read complete review

The interview at the Embassy was smooth, the consul was a very nice person, she doesn't ask me for more evidence and only ask me a few questions like, how do you met? how many times you entered to the US before and she told me that she needs to canceled my tourist visa because I can't have 2 visas at the same time and then YOUR VISA IS APROVED!!! Now I have to wait to pick up my passport with the visa at DHL one week!
