We got to the embassy around 6:45am and were first in line...they started letting people in at 7. We checked our cell phones at the door and were directed through to the waiting room with all the windows where the interviews are conducted. We were called up to the the window for the first time around 7:30 and Rumi was asked for his DS-156, 156K and 157 along with his visa photos, he was then told to go to the last to pay. After we paid he was called back to the first window they asked for his antecedentes, birth cert, our affidavit of support and proof of relationship. We had a lot but all they wanted me to give them were pictures, skype logs, phone bills and notarized letters from friends and family. They asked him how we met, how we keep in touch when were not together, if we have children and if he had ever traveled to the US before and if he'd ever applied for a visa to the US. We were then asked to sit down and waited about an hour and a half before we were called into the second ... read complete review

Smooth process. Everyone at the consulate were friendly and helpful. While there is no line for visas citadas (visas with appointments), the wait was relatively long (but probably no worse than most and probably better than quite a few). Very please overall

We arrived at about 7:00 for our 9:00 appointment. The line was long, it probably took 15 minutes to get through. We went inside and sat on benches to be called. We were called to a window and spoke with a woman for a few minutes. I am the USC, she only spoke to my wife. She asked for the two passport photos and the medical information. She then asked how and when we met. What do we talk about? How many times have I visited? It was very relaxed. She asked to see photos. I had the photos in a binder, but we had to take them out and slide them through a little slot. She then told us to sit down and wait more.
Then we were called into a private room with a man to interview us. This was also very relaxed. He asked what language we prefer? How did me meet? How many times have I visited? Do we have trouble communicating? Where we would live in the U.S.? It was all very relaxed, it did not feel like they were trying to trick us at all. Then he said we were... read complete review

Overall my wife's interview experience was a fairly pleasant experience. I did not attend it with her. All of her interview was conducted in Spanish.
My wife's appointment was scheduled for 8 AM. She arrived at 6:15 AM and already there were 3 people waiting for entry. Within the next 30 minutes there was a very long line, as she describes it: "una cola como en el día de cobro de los jubilados en la puerta del banco de la nación" or "a line like at the Banco de la Nacion on retirement payday."
They started letting people in at 7 AM. She suggests having your phone and any electronic devices already turned off and ready to store at the entry because they will send you back in the line if you are not ready.
After entry, she was asked to wait in a room with other interviewees. After about 10 minutes they then called her to a window where they took her medical exam packet, passport, and passport photos. The window attendant also asked ... read complete review
