Review Topic: K1 Visa

CO was brief and to the point, she did not waste time at all. She only needed a single addition document which was submitted the next day. Approved.

I am forwarding the account written by my husband to me of what transpired during his interview which was scheduled for 7am Feb 11, 2016. From what I gathered it was not a negative experience in anyway. My husband was very calm and confident and answered all questions correctly. The CO was all business, which was expected but it would have been nice to have a person that was a bit more jovial in my opinion. CO maintained very little eye contact with my husband nor did he smile the entire interview.

So hubby's account are as follows...

Got to the embassy by 6am. Security checked me and asked to go to a certain corner where the queue will be created. Another security officer came around and asked that we should bring out all sealed envelopes and interview letter . By 6:30am we queued up . I was the 9th person on the queue . Got into another hall and was asked to go present my interview letter at a table and a brown card was given to me which they called the ... read complete review

Review Topic: EB-3 Visa

Our interview held today at US Consulate in Lagos. Everything was smooth sailing and we got our approval on the spot. Yesterday, we got a sign that all will go well. Our 15-month old son walked for the first time and that created a joyful atmosphere in our home.
BACKGROUND OF OUR CASE
Our visa category was EB-3 (an employment-based immigrant visa) and the petition was filed on our behalf by my employer. The process took 6 months (August, 2015 – February, 2016) to complete. Our priority date was August 20, 2015. The I-140 petition went through premium processing and got approved in less than 15 days.
MAIN GIST
Our appointment was for 7am but we got to the embassy by 5.30 am. There were already about 20 persons waiting. At 6.00 am we lined up went through the first security screening by police men. We were checked using a hand-held metal detector. Thereafter, we lined up in front of the pavilion and were given instructions by the embassy security staff. We w... read complete review

Well, my husband had his interview on 1/28/2015. I traveled to Nigeria for the interview and am just getting back, thus the late reply. He thought the interview went well, however we were placed on AP. We arrived around 5:30 am and there were a few people milling around. At promptly 6:00 am a security guard came out to tell us that we should begin to queue up around 6:30 and that those with 6:30 am appointments should be first in line. At 6:30 another guard came out to bring us over to the corral area to get ready to queue up. A guard came out and called for anyone that had applied for a student visa and had a 6:30 am appointment. I think only one person was there for a student visa. He then asked for immigrant visa applicants with 6:30 am appointments. I think there was one or two people. About 10-15 minutes later, they called for the immigrant visa applicants with 7:00 am appointments. My husband was one of them so we queued up. I went as far as I could go, but obviously could not g... read complete review

Hello,
I had my immigrant interview in Nigeria on 28 January 2016.
After my interview, the consular officer told me my case is approved, gave me a collection slip, and also a slip saying my case will undergo further administrative processing. What does this mean. Can an approved case still undergo administrative processing?
