My husband had his spouse visa interview in October, 2016. After enjoying our reunion for the past several months, I am finally submitting our review of the Lagos, Nigeria consulate.
First, I would like to share that the night before the interview, I sent my love a prayer to say the morning of his interview, and I was praying the same one here. Thanks to the Visa Journey guides and members, our whole process and interview went smoothly and fast for the most part, and while I was not able to be there with my sweet husband in person, I was there in my heart, waiting by the phone and checking his status constantly.
That morning of our interview, my husband got up very early to pray and prepare, and then left to find a cab. When none appeared, he began to walk, all the while praying to be on time. Then when he turned a corner, there was a bike. His prayer was answered! He arrived at the consulate and was third in line. A woman tried to tell him he was in the... read complete review

I believe our visa was denied due to the officer being tired and careless and grumpy. The lady was the only one working at the time with about 40 other interviews she had handled early in the day. When my fiancee was called for his turn she gave him a piece of paper and told him to write a statement in how we met. He wrote everything exact and it matched our petition. She told him that what he wrote down didn't match the time we met as if she was making excuses to find a reason to deny us. but we had proof of the emails in the petition and on our letter to match, We had front loaded our petition with everything and if they had a question, we had the proof. She refused to look at any new documents my fiancee brought in, or communicate any questions or concerns she had with him even if she was confused. She also pulled in another person to sit down in the middle of my fiancees interview and told him to wait. Once she called my fiancee back she immediately took it upon herself to accuse a... read complete review

We had our interview on March 8.It was a wonderful experience.
Our interview time was 6:30 am. We got there at about 5:30 and the place was already bustling with activity. At about 6:00 we were asked to queue up.Two lines were formed based on whether immigrant visa interview or non- immigrant. We were asked to open the sealed medical reports but not to bring them out of the envelopes. We were then asked to go into a sitting area where your items and you are searched.
We then got to another table where our interview letter was checked and a number was written on it.
We came out of there, walked across the street into the main building where you are searched again before finally proceeding into the main interview area. There were seats available for immigrant visa interviewees.
Our number was called and we went to the first cubicle where a nice lady collected our civil documents and some other professional certificates. We went back to sit down and after about... read complete review
