My husband arrived at the consulate at 5:30am, for a 6:45am interview. Shortly after 6am the consulate personnel had come out to begin lining people up - my husband was near the front as they called for the first round of interviews.

After these items were checked and first fingerprints were taken, my husband was issued a number for his interview. Once in the main hall, the interviews began. There were two women interviewing the immigrant applicants that day. My husband was the 8th person called. It seems they were calling people alphabetically.
Once at the window, my husband's fingerprint was taken again, and he was sworn in. He said the woman smiled when he wishe... read complete review

My name is Zainab. Wanna share my today experience at the US consulate Lagos.
My interview time was 6:45am but I got to the embassy 4:30am as I leave on the mainland and won't want to be stucked in d early morning Monday traffic. So, I already booked uber that came to pick me up by 3:45am.
When I got to the consulate , I just met one person (elderly woman like70 yrs old) already waiting, her son came with her dou. By 5:30am , people were already many. Exactly 6am, the securities begin the checking. Did I tell you I was with my 9months old baby? Lol. I finally got inside d embassy n was number 16. I was called upon, did my biometrics and submitted all my original documents to a Nigerian lady.
I waited for some min again n was finally called by d consular. She was a young friendly American lady. She asked d following questions.
Who is calling you to d US
Where did you meet
What happened after you met
Where does he work n what post he hol... read complete review

My fiance arrived at the embassy about 5:50am, because he likes to overdo things, even though he was at a hotel that was very close. Two lines were formed, for Immigrant and Nonimmigrants. Security check was first, had to removed jewelry and everything else. Once inside, they started to ask for documents like the police clearance, and ask for you to open the medical results. Then numbers were given out, and he was number 28,but they were moving at a decent pace. He says they were approving a lot of people, and not just K-1! So they call my fiance up, and started asking questions right away, and she asked about 15 questions:
1. Who is filing for you?
2. How long have we known ourselves?
3. How did we meet?
4. Where do she work?
5. Do she have kids?
6. What are their names, ages?
7. Where else have you lived?
8.Where do she live?
9. Is she in school?
10. What is she in school for?
