Here is my fiance's interview in her words. Overall everyone was nice at the consulate. The only problem she had was the guards outside when she went to her first appointment and they put her in the wrong line and therefore made her miss her appointment. They tried to do it again today but this time she was wise to their ignorance.
Vera's words:
I got to the embassy at 6:45am, went straight to the immigrant queue, got there but was told by a guard to go to another queue (the non-immigrant queue), I asked him if he was sure, he said he was. I told him we'll both die at the embassy today if I missed my appointment again like I did the last time, then went to the other queue, however, on my way there, I asked another guard if that was the right queue for immigrant applicants, he responded in the negative and asked me to go back to where I was before. I went back there and the assole guard opened the gate to let me in.

05/14/09- Desmond's interview was GREAT! There were no problems and everything went smoothly. The gentleman that interviewed him was very impressed with the
documents we submitted and the order in which we had everything done in. He asked a few guestion and Desmond answered every question correctly. The gentleman told Desmond that he was impressed with him and told him to come back on 05/21/09 to pick up his Visa.
I was thinking that we would be having major issues after reading the recent comments about the Lagos Consulate. Thank God we did not have any problems.
I will be praying for all those still waiting.

Vera arrived at the consulate today at 7am, her appointment time, and they would not let her in because they had already called for people with interviews for an immigration visa. Complete and utter BS! I am so tired of imcompetancy in our government. They had her go back at 11am and they tried to give her a new date of July 2nd!!! She insisted an earlier date so they gave her Juen 5th! To me they should've interviewed her TODAY. They had alloted the time and she was on time! So instead of her doing her interview as scheduled, which was still possible because it was only 705am, instead a visa specialist (or whatever they're called) got to take a coffee break! I am enraged! I have never been this pissed off in my life!

To our surprise my Husband's interview went very smooth.
He said a young white woman interviewed him, smiled asked a few questions, looked at a few photos and was satisfied.
All praises to Jehovah God!
