Hello VJ community

We were approved this morning in Lagos. Overall, our experience with the interview process was ok, our outcome was great. The interview took about 15 minutes. He was interviewed by a man. He mentioned there were 2 men and 2 women at the windows.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone that posts to Visa Journey. Your posts and articles helped us through the entire process.

Here are the questions that were asked of my husband at the consulate in Lagos on today
1. How do you know your spouse?
2. Where did you meet your spouse?
3. Have you been married before? Do you have any children?
4. Has your spouse been married before? Does she have any children?
5. How many times has your spouse visited Nigeria? How long was each visit?
6. How do you and your spouse communicate? Evidence of call logs, chat logs, email.
7. Do you miss your wife and why.
8. When did you ... read complete review

My fiance's interview was today(Jan 12th) and it went well! He was approved and we both know that would not have been possible without VisaJourney.com and its vast resources, most especially the members. My fiance was prepared, very organized, and confident in his answers. The CO was the Asian lady, who is VERY tough! She asked him questions such as what I do, where I was born, number of times in Nigeria, how many siblings I have, how many siblings my father has, has he met my parents, was an introduction done, how did we meet, has he met/spoken to my siblings, along with a few more questions. She asked to see my affidavit of support and income documents, along with our pictures. After a brief review she congratulated him and asked him to come back next Tues to pick up the visa! I strongly recommend all future interviewees to pray, go over documents together with fiance(e)prior to interview, have plenty of pictures/supporting evidence, know about the petitioner's family backgroun... read complete review

Sorry for the late posting. Well to make my drawn out long story short my fiancee went to the interview very early in the morning. He got there by 6am. The co asked alot of questions like what job i did, how we met, when we met, what University did my Parents attend, they asked about my siblings, has he met my parents. The CO denied him saying that our relationship was not bonafide that he was doing it for immigration purposes. That same day I contacted my senator Benjamin Cardin. They said that they will make inqiries about our case and get back to us.
1/4/2010 My fiancee called me 2am this morning telling me that the Lagos Consulate called him and told him to come back January 14,2010 at 1pm for a second interview and that he should bring more evidence of our relationship. God is soo good. Im so happy.Im hoping for the best.
1/14/2010 Interview was better than the first. Asian CO placed us on Administrative Review because she thought that we were married.
2/22/20... read complete review

Got to the embassy by 6am for my 7am appointment. I waited outside till about 7.30am.when we were called in to the waiting section opposite the embassy. Presented the email for my appointment and was given a card with a number on it. Filled a small form (name, petitioner’s name, address, email, phone number). Sat down in the waiting area for about 30-40mins.

Finally went into the embassy (no phones allowed)! Was asked to go pay visa fees first (I paid N21,000 which is $131). Waited again for about 40mins for my number to be called. Was called in at about 9am. The waiting still continues but this time you can here others being interviewed (many were denied or put on AP).
My number was finally called after about 1hr of waiting.
A nice young gentleman, requested for the small form I filled earlier, my passport, DS-156 and DS-156k, marriage certificate and photocopy, birth certificate and photocopy, police certificate, medical report, passport photo, affida... read complete review
