Hello VJ community

We were approved this morning in Lagos. Overall, our experience with the interview process was ok, our outcome was great. The interview took about 15 minutes. He was interviewed by a man. He mentioned there were 2 men and 2 women at the windows.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone that posts to Visa Journey. Your posts and articles helped us through the entire process.

Here are the questions that were asked of my husband at the consulate in Lagos on today
1. How do you know your spouse?
2. Where did you meet your spouse?
3. Have you been married before? Do you have any children?
4. Has your spouse been married before? Does she have any children?
5. How many times has your spouse visited Nigeria? How long was each visit?
6. How do you and your spouse communicate? Evidence of call logs, chat logs, email.
7. Do you miss your wife and why.
8. When did you see your wife last.
9. When did we get married?
10. When did our relationship turn romantic?
11. How did we celebrate Christmas this year …..?We did ours via webcam
12. How many kids does your wife have, what are their names, what are their ages, what grades are they in.
13. What kind of work will he do here in the USA?
14. Do you have a copy of your wife passport?
15. What does your wife do after work?
15. Do you have marriage photos? Let me see them.
16. The CO said, you wife has come here recently, let me see the recent photos.
17. Do you have wedding pictures?
18. Do you have photos taken before the marriage?
19. How is your wife able to travel here so much, it’s expensive and time consuming? (I had been there 3 times).
20. What did your wife do with her kids when she travels to see you so much?
21. Do you have phone records, if so, let me see them...
22. Let me see copies of your chats.
23. How old are you? How old is your wife.

After all the questioning he typed a couple of things on his computer and printed out on a white paper and told him "Congratulations” you can pick up your visa next Tuesday, which is a week from today.

GOOD LUCK. I pray God guides to those of you that are going thru this process have faith and believe and surely you shall overcome this enormous obstacle at this point in your life.

Advice: Remember to keep eye contact with the CO. Listen to the questions clearly, they purposely try to trip you up and ask you the same questions in a different way. Listen and comply with the instructions of the security personnel especially when you’re instructed to open your medical results otherwise, you will be sent back to the end of the queue for not following their instructions.
