Overall, the process was very long but goes smoothly if you have all the documents necessary. I am going to write a long review, because before my interview, I know I was looking for as much information as I could find.

We were let into the building about an hour before our appointment time (10:30). We waited outside (in a patio area) for an hour or so. They let us inside, and we waited close to another hour. Close to 12, we were called up to the window. The man behind the window mostly asked me (the petitioner) questions. He only asked my Nicaraguan fiance when we met. Everything else- when my parents met him, the reason for my travel to first meet him, etc- were directed toward me.

He said we would be called up again. We waited about 45 minutes. We were called up again. This time, the lady asked to speak with my fiance alone. She asked him some questions in English and some questions in Spanish. She asked him about our religion, how we came to know each ... read complete review

We arrived about 8:40am for our appointment at 9:30am. We waited for about a half hour and were then instructed to get in a line with the residential visa applications. We were told to open the medical packet. We were then led inside where we went through security and left our phone with security. We then walked through the outdoor area of the embassy and went through a second security. We were then able to get our number and were told to wait in the outside area. There were iced mochas and other food and beverages for sale. We waited about an hour and a half until our number was called with about 5 other numbers. We then went inside a small room with 6 or 8 service windows and sat down with the others to wait. In about half an hour our number was called and we went up to the window. We handed her all of the documents we brought and she started entering information in the computer and asking us questions about when and how we met, how often I had been to visit, etc. She then asked us t... read complete review

Came in at 9:00 am, 30 minutes before my scheduled interview. Made a line and then they tell you to open the Medical Exam on the wall, which I thought it was kinda awkward. Then I joined the line again and we got in. Once inside you have to take your belt, heavy jewelry, etc.. and pass through inspection. This was very fast, it is better to not take your phone. After, I went through and there's like an outdoor waiting area...I came in the office where they interview and the guy gave me a number and told me wait outside. I waited outside for like an hour then he called my number so I got in and he told me where to sit. I saw that the numbers before me where with an Nicaraguan officer and sorta heard what they asked them...I waited here for like another hour and when my number was called I felt relaxed because I knew she was Nicaraguan She just asked for the all the documents you had to bring (PLEASE BRING EVERYTHING !) and then she asked: What's your fiancé's phone ... read complete review
