My interview time was 8am and I arrived by 7.50 am. They asked to see my appointment email and my current passport before letting me in. At 8 am I was let through security and then once inside I was called to the window to hand over my passports and the remaining documents that were not posted in. I was then asked to pay the fee then sat and waited about 50 mins.

I was finally called up for the interview. My questions were:
-How did you and your fiance meet? When?
-When did you first meet up in person? Where?
-Where does your fiance live? Is that where you intend to settle down?
-Then he confirmed my current profession with me before asking what I was considering doing for work over in the states.

Finally I was told I was approved and that it should arrive in the mail within the next two weeks

Overall a very quick experience (minus the waiting initially). I went in prepared with pages of conver... read complete review

Arrived a couple of minutes before my interview appointment time slot, security were lovely and I was told to go to window 5 - where the calming presence of "B" waited for me. She told me to take a couple of deep breaths and calm down as she could sense my excitement/nervousness. I then gave her my passport (and old passport), she asked when I am hoping to arrive in the US, then got my fingerprints done before sitting down to wait.

I waited for around an hour (no clocks inside, but there is a water cooler, small room for children to play in, and a tv that plays the CNN channel) before being called to the interview window (they will speak your name over a loudspeaker/microphone). I had to raise my right hand and swear that everything in my file etc was truthful and was then asked a few questions about my husband and how we met, what he does in the US, what I plan to do, etc. The consular officer then told me everything was good, handed me my pile of papers that I had sent... read complete review

I was absolutely terrified going into the Consulate - I have anxiety so it was flaring up really bad. I stayed up the night before my interview combing over the reviews here, and looking at all the positive ones I hoped mine would be just as smooth.

After going through security, I went to window 5 to hand over my passport and check in. Was met by B - she's as lovely as everyone here says! She was very kind and calming, and at one she was just like "Okay before you move to the next window, take a moment to breathe because you look like you're about to cry. It's okay!" which yes, I was tearing up 😂 I pay for the fee, and then I wait for a little over 2 hours. It was a very busy day in there. The wait was excruciating, no clock inside to keep track of time so I recommend getting a watch. Once my name was called the talk with the officer hardly lasted 5 minutes. He just asked me "When and how did you meet? What are your shared interests?" and it turned out our shared... read complete review

Extremely friendly interviewer. I was only asked "Tell me about your fiancé" and I was approved! Very happy with my experience.
