I had my interview back in September 2019, I remember being quite nervous, I was allowed to take a book in but I managed to only read one page.
My Fiance and I waited approximately 45 mins to an hour, the interviewer asked simple questions about our relationship, maybe 4-5 of them before she went away to look at paperwork i presume.

I was approved and have never felt more relief in my life :P

Everyone there was absolutely wonderful and helpful, even after my blunder with the payment haha.

The staff were really nice. From the security guy who checked me in to the lady who interviewed me.
It was busy and I had to wait for 40 minutes after my scheduled interview time. It was fine because I brought a book to read.
Overall it was nice to leave with being approved!

My interview was scheduled for 8am, and I arrived at the building by 7:50 and was allowed to go straight through.

The lovely B looked through my packet, took fingerprints from both hands, and noted some items that she said the consular officer may need that were missing. At that strange I was mildly panicking internally, but then she sent me to go sit and wait for the officer to call me up for the interview. Thats when i really started to panic.

I sat waiting for maybe 55 minutes, at one point I was so worried about being denied that B called me over, gave me some tissues and sweets and a pep talk that if they need anything else it is just paperwork and they know that my husband and I are legally in a bone fide marriage. This helped me calm down.

Then I was called over to window 2 for my interview. The officer was nice enough, though i did not catch her name. I took the oath and gave my right hand finger prints. She then asked me the foll... read complete review

The consulate was fairly busy when I turned up for my appointment, but I think I was the only person who had brought a book with them (I asked the guard if I could take one through and he said that was okay, he just had to put it through the x-ray by itself), highly recommend this to kill the time. I also came prepared with a watch after reading the previous reviews here.

My interview was very short, I was simply asked:
- When did you meet your fiance?
- When/where did you meet in person?
- When did you decide to get married?
- What does your fiance do for a job?
The questions were interspersed with small talk about 'nerd culture' as the interviewer put it.

The interviewer said he was happy with everything, and as he had all that he needed he could have my visa to me within a few days (fingers crossed). Total time spent at the consulate was maybe one hour 20 minutes waiting, five minute interview.

My interview time was 8am and I arrived by 7.50 am. They asked to see my appointment email and my current passport before letting me in. At 8 am I was let through security and then once inside I was called to the window to hand over my passports and the remaining documents that were not posted in. I was then asked to pay the fee then sat and waited about 50 mins.

I was finally called up for the interview. My questions were:
-How did you and your fiance meet? When?
-When did you first meet up in person? Where?
-Where does your fiance live? Is that where you intend to settle down?
-Then he confirmed my current profession with me before asking what I was considering doing for work over in the states.

Finally I was told I was approved and that it should arrive in the mail within the next two weeks

Overall a very quick experience (minus the waiting initially). I went in prepared with pages of conver... read complete review
