My hubby arrived at 8:00am There was a line that was for people who had 8:00 & 8:30 appointments. He had to wait a while before he was able to get in line for the 9:00 appointment. When he finally was able to get in line, he was 5th . The security guy checked his interview letter and he was able to proceed to a window near by the entrance. He was asked for his passport and the two pics.

After that he went inside where he had to turn off his mobile phone and take off his belt to pass through security. One important note he told me was he actually left his laptop bag which he carried all of our paperwork with a parking attendant at a nearby parking lot by there. He stressed that you cannot bring a suitcase inside.

He found a seat & waited for them to call him. He noticed that he was about the only one with a lot of papers. At this point, I asked my hubby did he see any of the familiar faces that was mentioned on Visa Journey. He told me he saw the old lady... read complete review

My fiance's visa was approved on Monday. Our overall experience was fantastic, thanks mostly to following the good advice of this site. Everything's here, every question's been asked and answered and that's really incredible. So thanks to all the people who've helped us!

My review will sound a lot like the previous posters - it was a very positive experience and almost directly mirrored what's already been posted this week and last. The only big differences are that we live together in Morocco and our co-sponsor qualified on assets (more on that below). I have to say, I called the consulate a few times and the guy who works in the Immigrant Visa office was so incredibly nice and helpful. In fact, he even asked about me when my fiance arrived at the Consulate.

Our interview was at 3pm. I didn't even try to go in with my fiance because they told me on the phone I wouldn't be allowed. So, I gave him my passport with instructions to flash it around and waite... read complete review

After reading all of the horror stories about Casablanca, I never thought I'd write a positive review.

I won't re-hash what's already been said about getting through security and the collection of paperwork except for the following:

- when my fiance was waiting outside he saw a red-haired woman walk inside the consulate, he said he had a feeling she would conduct his interview

-my fiance was allowed to enter the consulate at 2:30. A half hour before his appointment time

- organized and correctly filled out paperwork is EXTREMELY important, my fiance felt they paid a lot of attention to that

- the chest x-ray for the medical was given back to my fiance

After the collection of the paperwork, my fiance was told to have a seat and wait to be called for his interview. While waiting, he noticed the same red-haired woman he saw outside looking at our petition. Sure enough, that was his interviewer. After... read complete review

So this is what I gathered happened yesterday for my husband. He was the first person at the embassy. He was told to wait in a room and essentially waited for what he said was "hours." Although, he was there a total of 4.5 hours.

The first call, they got him to the window and reviewed the packets received from NVC to ensure that all the documentation was there. He handed over my 2012 tax transcripts and new police clearance and casier judiciare, just in case.

Then, they had him go to another room to wait "for a few more hours" after which, they called his name to start the interview.

Immediately, she asked him if he had been in the US before. She asked how long. He responded. Then she asked him if he knew that meant there was a ban. He said yes. She apparently said, ok, now we can start the interview.

After that, she asked how we met, how long we had talked, where we first met in person, etc. She wanted to know how... read complete review

My husband has a very good experience at the consulate today. I think anyone who gets approved will have this feeling . His worst part was waiting for over 3 hours to be interviewed. Questions were pretty much about my two children and what I do for work. The consular was polite with him and he understood her very well. OHHHHHH Happy Day!
