So, this was our experience. We had 2 rounds in Juarez. My husband's first interview date was scheduled for Oct. 20, 2014, but since they found something on his chest x-ray, he had to do the sputum culture for tuberculosis. That test lasted 2 months before we got the results. Our second interview was scheduled on January 16th.

Biometrics: We chose to do this prior to going to Juarez the first time in Guadalajara. It was super easy and fast. All he needed was his passport and DS260 confirmation page. Also know your interview date and time because they will ask.

Medical exam: We had this originally scheduled October 16th. After filling out some basic information forms, my husband went to his medical exam, and I went to the waiting room. They gave him a handful of vaccinations, full physical, chest x-ray. Also, during the questioning, the doctor asked about prior drug use. My husband initially said no, but he eventually admitted to trying marijuana ... read complete review

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by Ciudad Juarez and the US Consulate there.

Our interview was on Friday 12/19. We flew from Michigan on Tuesday to El Paso, and had a friend pick us up at the airport and drive us across the border. The trip was short and fast, maybe 15-20 minutes max from airport to Hotel.

We stayed at the Quality Inn. I won't go into a long detail review of this hotel as there are plenty already on Visa Journey. The rates were good for what you get. Rooms were OK, nothing spectacular, but fine for the price. They offer shuttles to all your appointments, but we didn't use them as everything was close. The consulate, medical, AOS, and the mall are all within walking distance.

Wednesday we had our medical appointment at Servicios Medico de la Frontera. It was super smooth. My wife went inside while I stayed in the waiting room with many others. She was out in about 1.5 hours. She said it was very profess... read complete review

It was awesome. Took like 2 hours to go in and out. My interview was 5 minutes long. Then the Consul Rep told me Congratulations! Your visa has been approved and handed me the green piece of paper with instructions. I felt so relieved and so good!

Now Ihave to look for a job in the US and plan my move

I just got back from Juarez and it was a really good experience, Im going to explain as much as I can about the whole trip, if you have any other question dont hesitate and send me a private message.

Biometrics
I did my biometrics in Hermosillo, Sonora, if you read the instrutions it says you can do this ahead, I wanted to feel Consulate Mode and prepare for the stuff to come so it was a good thing, its a really simple thing, it lasted it for 30 min, in this office they call you by your last name and then you go inside, its smaller than the one in Juarez so it was pretty easy, I brough with me, DS260, P4, Passport and the mail that they sent you with the info about your biometric appt.

This is a continuation of my previoius review. Today my partner was approved, yeah! We arrived at the sala de espera (waiting room) about 30 minutes before the scheduled time for the interview, meaning we arrived at 6 45 for a 7 15 apptmnt. I recommend that you get there 30 minutes early but no more than 30 minutes. Any earlier than 30 minutes and you just have to wait outside or at the back of the room. While in the sala de espera, the consulate staff conducted a quick review to verify that he really did have an apptmnt and then he sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes. Then he along with a good sized group all went to another building where they check you in again, verifying that you have all of your documents, including your sealed medical report. It is true that you are not supposed to take the CD you received at the medical exam. So leave it along with your cell phone and keys, etc. in your hotel room or with your fiance or friend. Once inside for the interview, there i... read complete review
