My trip there was very positive. I had my medical exam at Servicios Medicos de la Frontera, they were very efficient. I stayed at CityExpress Junior Consulado, it was so close to the consulate and they were very helpful, they are even able to help print out copies. I recommend going to the Office Depot closest to the hotel because it'll be much cheaper to print off whatever you need there vs. at the other places near the consulate.

Security is excessively zealous and strict - worse than TSA: do not bring USB or Cellphones. Only take in documents necessary and the least amount of stuff in general.
Wait times are long. A bit disorganized.
Personnel was courteous and to the point.

I went in with him and they focused on me completely after that, they wanted me to prove my citizenship by filling out some documents about my parentage. I did so. Even did an oath, they still gave my husband a blue slip, because they wanted me to send more proof of my citizenship through an email they gave me with a deadline until August 13,2019. I sent scanned documents the following day July 31,2019. On August 12 I called to ask if they received everything I had sent and they wouldn’t confirm, they suggested to send through DHL as well and I did that same day. It’s now August 15,2019 and we haven’t heard anything. They suspect of my citizenship because I was born with a midwife. Even though my parents lived in the US way before my birth. I suspect this is because I have a hispanic last name as well as ... read complete review
