My husband had his interview on July 30,2019. He had all of his documents but during the middle of the interview they asked for me, luckily I was waiting outside. I went in with him and they focused on me completely after that, they wanted me to prove my citizenship by filling out some documents about my parentage. I did so. Even did an oath, they still gave my husband a blue slip, because they wanted me to send more proof of my citizenship through an email they gave me with a deadline until August 13,2019. I sent scanned documents the following day July 31,2019. On August 12 I called to ask if they received everything I had sent and they wouldn’t confirm, they suggested to send through DHL as well and I did that same day. It’s now August 15,2019 and we haven’t heard anything. They suspect of my citizenship because I was born with a midwife. Even though my parents lived in the US way before my birth. I suspect this is because I have a hispanic last name as well as my look is Hispanic. Maybe if the agent saw a white individual during the time they asked for me we wouldn’t be going through this hard time. I am worried that my husband will now miss the birth of our first baby all because we wanted to do it the ‘right way’
If anyone has had a similar situation please share or let me know the time we will need to wait. Thank you.
