Overall experience was good one. Got to the embassy around 8am, my fiance went in right away. There is a large crowd at that time but not everyone is in line. When called by the officer she went to his window and was very pleasant. Ask a few of the normal questions, where I lived, how I became a citizen, if she planned to work in the US. He flipped through the packet we sent with the 129F petition. Looked up something on the computer and then asked her to sit down and she would be called back to the window. After about an hour they called her back up and presented her with a 221G with no reasoning. No further docs were needed. Most likely they needed to do further background checks. She already had a tourist Visa which he annuled because the K1 was in process. My Fiance was in shock but he said that everything was going to be ok and said he would personally work on our case. Not much to do there. We had a Monday appointment so flew in on a Weds for Medical exam Thursday. Man, it was a long weekend. Thank God our hotel had a pool.

This was a pretty smooth process for us. My fiance had his medical exam 2 days prior to the interview. I flew into El Paso and he picked me from there after his exam. He did biometrics the next day in Juarez. They did not let me inside so I waited outside. He was probably inside about 20 minutes. They will not let you in more than 10 or 15 minutes before your appointment. I would recommend not showing up there very early. The day of the interview he drove to the embassy, parked at the mall, and then walked over. He said that he did wait for awhile before the interview. They did not ask to see any of my financial information, or really anything that he brought with him except his passport photos. They returned the pictures that we had submitted with our original petition. They asked where we were going to live, did I own my house, where I worked, what tattoos he had, if I had any tattoos, what he wants to do in the US for work. Overall it was a good experience.
