The email notification for interview appointment by the consulate is not the entire interview. It's in 2 parts now. Part 1: That day scheduled will be just to turn in original documents. The consulate gives you a blue piece of paper for your next scheduled interview appointment. Part 2: The following is when they ask you the questions about your relationship and case.

I was approved July 1st.
First day they collected some of my documents and it helped to get familiar with the sitting areas/building spaces to ease my nerves.
I got a blue slip to return the next day but in the evening I noticed it had someone else's name, it was late so I had to figure it out the next day.
Next day arrived at the Consulate after 6 am and went through security.
Every person who worked at the consulate I would tell them about my incorrect blue slip and they sent me to the information window to wait for someone to correct the paper info. The blue slip has a ticket# stapled to it that helps the Consular Officer find your folder with your documents.
Normal questions that they ask everyone else about spouse name, work, asked if we had a co-sponsor, how long was my longest stay in the US.
CO did ask for my Police Certificate and Sponsor Birth Certificate.
We had uploaded recent documents to CEAC a few days before leaving ... read complete review

The interview went very smoothly, it was around 10 minutes long. The questions were very basic, for anyone who is a legitimate couple should be fairly easy.

Overal the interview took about an hour in total. The questions took about 10 minutes. They asked us to enter around the side of embassy. They collect your paper work and then make you sit down until your name is called. Once your called you go up the interview area and while standing up they asked me the following:
They asked when and where we met for the first time, parents names, if either of us had been divorced before, How many children my fiancée has, they asked when we took certain pictures from our i129f. When we got engaged. Ect
they try to ask trick questions. For example they’ll ask a question for which you answered to no too earlier. You just have to watch out for that, I guess it’s to see if your paying attention or to see if you are lying about something. We had our interview scheduled for 10 am but they let me in at 8 am. Our interviewer was really friendly and kind.
