Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I was approved July 1st.
First day they collected some of my documents and it helped to get familiar with the sitting areas/building spaces to ease my nerves.
I got a blue slip to return the next day but in the evening I noticed it had someone else's name, it was late so I had to figure it out the next day.
Next day arrived at the Consulate after 6 am and went through security.
Every person who worked at the consulate I would tell them about my incorrect blue slip and they sent me to the information window to wait for someone to correct the paper info. The blue slip has a ticket# stapled to it that helps the Consular Officer find your folder with your documents.
Normal questions that they ask everyone else about spouse name, work, asked if we had a co-sponsor, how long was my longest stay in the US.
CO did ask for my Police Certificate and Sponsor Birth Certificate.
We had uploaded recent documents to CEAC a few days before leaving for Juarez, so I didn't need to provide any other physical docs (transcripts/w2's/sponsor employment letter/sponsor pay stubs), it was all there on CEAC.
I noticed the CO would look at me from the corner of his eye, I am sure they are trained to notice if we are lying/stressed/defensive etc. Just be calm and answer truthfully.
I saw the green slip on the corner of the counter and felt some relief.
CO wasn't overly friendly but not rude either. Finally he said your visa is approved! I put the green slip away and left the Consulate to find my hubby who had been waiting outside for 3 hours

PS
I heard a CO ask an interviewee if they had brought pictures of them with their spouse.
Don't think twice about bringing everything you can, we have many guides on what documents to bring, you won't want to be denied only because you forgot to bring X document.
Also have the interviewees understand what documents they're bringing with them, a lady almost got denied because she kept telling the CO she didn't have the transcripts and CO asked to see a letter explaning why the sponsor hadn't filed taxes, turns out the lady did have transcripts but didn't know which papers they were.
