Hi Y'all,
I was under stress that day, because, I had a plane tickets to USA in two days.
I know it is stupid, but when you are young, you like the risk, right?
So, I was in shock, when a secretary at the first window told me that my original birth certificate is not translated, and I will need to come back LATER!
But I had my old (Russian) Birth certificate with translation and notary stamp, so I felt a relieve.
Like everybody I had all the proofs with me, all copies, lots of pictures, pay stubs, tax returns of my husband, plain tickets and so on...
The interview took only 5 minutes. The consulate was very nice. He ask how we met, how many relatives I have in USA, when was the first time when I traveled to USA.. .and... that was about it... he asked for my passport and said I will get it back in two days. Then I went back to talk to secretory and tried to explain her that I am going to miss my flight, but she said that MAYBE if I... read complete review

Overall I would say the experience was good. I had heard from a person going through Vilnius embassy a month before me that no proof of relationship was asked and yet, they decided to do a second interview without saying that that was the reason.

I placed it in between me and the interviewer, the note was facing the interviewer, which was something I did not intend to do and noticed only halfway through the interview At one point the interviewer asked me whether we travel together and if so where. So I named the countries we have visited together and said: â... read complete review

It wasn't so easy as I imagined. Though we had everything prepared, I needed to visit embassy twice for interview. Lots of different questions (starting how do you met your fiancee to what does his sister do in her life, what are names of investors in his business , etc). All stuff and Consul were very polite and nice. it took a while to receive visa but it was worth to do it. So prepare to have lots of patience and good luck javascript:emoticon('')
