The consular my fiance got was horrible. I've read all these reviews about great experiences, so I'm a bit astounded by how he was treated. In fact, he said that as he was sitting there waiting to get called, he was praying he wouldn't get the one he got but, he did. First the consular was asking him about my job in great detail and acting very judgmental. This is very unlike the other reviews I've seen where the consular asks basically one question, gets the answer and moves on. This guy expected a lot of detail. He then went onto the age, and when my fiance told him my age after telling his, the consular grimaced. Why does this guy care? His job isn't to bring his personal opinion but, to make sure this is a bona fide relationship. He finalized the interview by asking when was the last time my fiance smoked marijuana. With that answer, he banned him for whats remaining left of a year.

We arrived at the Embassy at 8:30 a.m. for our 9:30 a.m. appointment. As the petitioner and fiancée I was not allowed into the Embassy. I had to sit outside for 6 hours while my fiance went through his interview.
Fiancé's Experience:
My fiancé went into the embassy and went through the security checkpoint. He then waited 45 minutes before he was called to window 1 (forms verification & fingerprinting). Then a 20 minute wait between window 1 to window 2 (pay fee). He then waited 2.5 hours (@1:50pm) before being called up to window 3 (interview). Interview lasted 5 minutes and he was told he was approved and that he would get his visa in 2-3 weeks. He walked out of the Embassy at exactly 2:00pm.
Questions asked in no particular order:
Where does your fiancée live?
What does your fiancée do for a living?
What company does your fiancee work for?
Does your fiancée have any children?
How did you guys meet? ... read complete review

We had our interview yesterday at the embassy in Jamaica. Overall, my fiance said everyone was friendly and it went well, we were approved! We arrived at 8:30am for a 9:30 am appointment. I accompanied my fiance to the interview but was not allowed inside (even into the courtyard others mentioned in previous posts). He completed the process at about 2 pm.
First, they took his fingerprints, next they took his documents, then he paid the visa fee, he waited about 2 hours and then was interviewed.
Here are the questions, in no particular order:
How do you meet?
Where and when did you propose?
How much did you pay for the engagement ring?
Where does your fiance work?
How often do you see each other?
Does your fiance have family in Jamaica (my parents are from Jamaica)?
Where are you going to live when you arrive in the U.S.?
Have you ever been arrested/imprisoned?
Where do you w... read complete review

Just wanted to post a review of my fiance's interview on August 28, 2013 in Kingston Jamaica. His appointment was scheduled for 8:30am - being the man that he is he showed up almost 2 hours early (LOL). Being that he was early, he had ample time to relax, eat something, etc. before going in. He said that once he went in they first took his appointment letter and the forms (DS156, DS156K, DS157) - at some point later they took his police record, medical, non impediment, affidavit of support, birth certificate, divorce decree(he had both the decree absolute and the decree nisi) and marriage certificate from previous marriage. He was the only person that was being interviewed for a K-1 visa and ended up being the last person that they called up to interview. He mentioned that he saw many people being denied for not having enough documentation but he wasn't worried.
He said he was interviewed by a nice lady that was very cordial and easy going. She had him swear in and... read complete review
