Arrived at 8 30 for 10am appointment. The staff was polite and courteous...they checked to make sure we had all the required documents b4 letting us in. After getting inside, we were given a processing number to listen for. When we hear our number, we go put to the window n they take our documents. We were then directed to sit and listen for name.

When name was called , we went to another window and the interview started. Mine lasted about 5mins.... CO was stern yet polite.
He asked basic questions like:
Who Filing
What does my fiance n i do for a living
How we met and when is the wedding.
***make sure u have all your documents!

The experience was pleasant, after entering the consulate and passing through security I was directed inside towards the right hand side where I sat down. After waiting... I was called to a window then asked for my documents... After that I was told to have a seat and wait again for my name to be called for the interview.... So after waiting I was called to another window, the embassy representative was very nice. She asked me a few questions like where did we meet, where are we getting married, have I ever visited any other country other from the US. After that she said that she was going to issue the visa. and wished me a pleasant day.

Regarding K-1 experience at Jamaican embassy:
I could not attend the interview with my fiance but he spoke very highly about his experience. He also told me he noticed errors others made who did not have a great outcome --(not dressed in business attire, supporting documents in plastic bag --no supporting documents --or not well frontloaded application)

He showed up 2 hours early. Upon entry at the embassy was escorted to a separate room to wait. At first window they had documents from initial application which are reviewed prior to interview (he said they have decided prior to your arrival pretty much how things will go based on the documents contained in your application). He could see the body language of the two people working the first and second windows. After person at first window took required fingerprints and other documents he watched the person go up to second person--both people were smiling and nodding as they discussed the petition and then his name... read complete review

My fiance' stated that the interview was about 5 minutes long and he stood before a counter not in a private office. He was asked how we met, what are my children names, what kind of work I did for a living and where are the engagement rings. The CO remarked how organized my fiance' was but he still needed more proof such as WhatsApp conversations or Western Union receipts. The CO did not say we were approved or denied but stated everything looked good just send a little more proof and we should hear something soon as a few people were ahead of us. Submitted additional info via DHL along with passport the very next day and currently in administrative processing which we are told is normal after interviewing.
