Regarding K-1 experience at Jamaican embassy:
I could not attend the interview with my fiance but he spoke very highly about his experience. He also told me he noticed errors others made who did not have a great outcome --(not dressed in business attire, supporting documents in plastic bag --no supporting documents --or not well frontloaded application)

He showed up 2 hours early. Upon entry at the embassy was escorted to a separate room to wait. At first window they had documents from initial application which are reviewed prior to interview (he said they have decided prior to your arrival pretty much how things will go based on the documents contained in your application). He could see the body language of the two people working the first and second windows. After person at first window took required fingerprints and other documents he watched the person go up to second person--both people were smiling and nodding as they discussed the petition and then his name was called.

Of note we had heavily front loaded our initial petition. (Full of affadavits from people who could attest to our bonafide relationship--photos--texts, phone calls etc) My fiance came dressed in business attire. Although we know each other well--we prepped with questions ahead of time. He presented with two large organized folders, one with financial support paperwork, and all required documents. The other was a binder organized with pages of text messages, phone calls, photos, passport stamps, boarding passes, receipts and additional information which served as proof of our ongoing relationship.

They did not even look at this binder because our initial application was so heavily frontloaded. For my fiance he said the questions were very easy and the process was very easy ---but only because we know each other very well -- he was honest and genuine. (The questions they asked would have made me a little squrimy) but he was not worried.

So--if you do not feel like your initial application was front loaded well. I would recommend coming with the documentation presented in an organized fashion. Make sure to be dressed in business attire.

I also recommending going through questions with your fiance ahead of time. Most questions surround facts in your application. Be honest-- and if your relationship is genuine all will go well
Questions: How and when did you meet?
What does your fiance do?
Why did you guys not get married in Jamaica?
Did your fiancee ever spend time in your home when they visited?
What are your wedding plans?
Do you have anyone else you are pettioning for? (He has a daughter whom we included on our application but I did not pettition for her at this stage in the process--and will do so in the future (so he answered honestly)
He was told everything looks great! We have everything we need. They took his passport and told him to expect communication from DHL by email or phone once his Visa esd ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks
