The embassy in Kingston works in your favor if you are prepapred. You must have all your documentsz or proof of your case if you don't have anything. We went in about 8:10am for a 7:30am appointment went through and it was smooth. We have all documents needed plus duplicate's organized and prepared so that when we first went it we just had everything ready. The clerks can be intimadating but our interviewer was pleasant and only asked 4-5 questions. No pics, cell phone bills needed, or family questions asked. We were approved after waiting 2 1/2 hours 5 question and BAM!!! Visa will arrive in 10 Days!!! It was a long VISA JOURNEY!

APPROVED!!
Finally.
Preface because we were so messed up along the way…
So we had some hiccups along the way. My fiancé had made arrangements for all the paperwork he needed long before I got there but none of it was then picked up when I arrived on the 15th. So first thing in the morning on the 16th we went to the medical appointment - I was originally most concerned about this because the other two were just to be picked up and the medical supposedly needs 10-14 days for processing or some such - but they assured us it would be fine and indeed there were zero problems with the medical. We then went over to Duke street to pick up his police record (which he'd tried to pick up many times and had been told since a week earlier that thee was a snag and to come back . But they never mentioned what the snag was or anything. So we go. They redo the fingerprinting electronically, then in ink. They tell up there is a case coming up and to go to Half-Way... read complete review

My fiance and I arrived at the embassy at 12:45pm for 1:30pm interview. Went through security without incidence. Proceeded to entrance for visa interviews where a guard took all of our visa forms...DS230, DS156, 156K and 157. He also took my fiance's passport, the 4 passport photos, police report, no impediment to marry and the birth certificate. The guard put all the paperwork in order for the immigration team and sent us inside. We waited in Section A for about 15 minutes until our number was called. At that window, we were asked for the Affidavit of Support, 2007 Taxes & W-2's, Bank statements/ letter, and letters verifying my employment. No 2006 or 2005 info was requested for us. The officer at that window was very friendly and helpful. She even commented on knowing I was attending my fiance's interview because she was the one who'd been answering all my emails. We then sat back down and waited another 15-20 minutes in Section B for my fiance to be fingerprinted. That wa... read complete review

I had a 9.30 appointment. I got there around 8.30. I went straight in after my name was comfirmed on the list(not many people there). Do not take any lotion perfume umbrella sharp objects or electronics with you they are not allowed inside and write your name on the back of your pictures. I went through security then proceeded to the court yard where i met some more secirites who told me what documents you will need to have in hand. I handed the documents the security/reception desk. He stapled them together then returned them to me. He gave me a ticket with my number and pointed me where to go. I waited in section A for 15-20 minutes then my number was called. I went to the desk and handed in my documents, my fiancee when to pay the fee and returned to the window with me. The lady cheked my documents and ticked them off on her little pink list then ask me to proceed to section B. I waited at section B for another 10 minutes then my number was called again. I went up to the desk where... read complete review
