My fiance and I arrived at the embassy at 12:45pm for 1:30pm interview. Went through security without incidence. Proceeded to entrance for visa interviews where a guard took all of our visa forms...DS230, DS156, 156K and 157. He also took my fiance's passport, the 4 passport photos, police report, no impediment to marry and the birth certificate. The guard put all the paperwork in order for the immigration team and sent us inside. We waited in Section A for about 15 minutes until our number was called. At that window, we were asked for the Affidavit of Support, 2007 Taxes & W-2's, Bank statements/ letter, and letters verifying my employment. No 2006 or 2005 info was requested for us. The officer at that window was very friendly and helpful. She even commented on knowing I was attending my fiance's interview because she was the one who'd been answering all my emails. We then sat back down and waited another 15-20 minutes in Section B for my fiance to be fingerprinted. That was a very easy process and then we were onto Section C for the actual interview. We sat there for about 45 minutes and then were called up. The officer at this window was pleasant and cheerful. She commented on how organized our original petition was and how it helped that I was there in person. She did not request any additional proof of the relationship nor did she ask for any pictures etc. She asked my fiance a few basic questions such as "who filed for you"..."how did the two of you meet"...."did I meet anyone in his family"...and "what are your plans when you reach the States". She asked my fiance what type of job I had and where I worked in the States as well. She even joked with my fiance and asked him if he was sure he was ready to marry someone who is so organized and he just said yes, and we all laughed! Shortly thereafter, she handed him a pink slip and directions to airpack and said he was approved. She wished us the best of luck in the States and we were on our way! The whole experience only lasted and hour and a half, from start to finish.
