Hello everyone! I'm a K1 visa beneficiary that just managed to go through with (almost) all the bureaucratical stuff and married the love of her life Just writing down a couple things from my experience at the Naples consulate that might be useful for people to come. First of all I want to say that it was much easier than I thought, especially considering how much of the procedures have been digitalized and a few documents that you had to file before aren't necessary anymore, such as the supplemental visa application...
Anyway, let's proceed in order: for people that need a place to stay, I encourage you to book a room at Casa Mira Napoli, very nice bed & breakfast just minutes on foot away from the consulate and chance to have the landlords book a cab for you to get to your medical appointment...very nice rooms, good prices, good food and people, and close to a lot of restaurants and grocery stores for your needs (plus there's a bank right next door ... read complete review

I wanted to write a review for those who have been going through AP at Naples. The interview went very well and was fairly quick. My fiance was there very early and was out by 930am.
However they put him in AP, they gave him a white slip labeled 221g and did NOT ask for more documents. It said "your application needs further processing". They didn't give any reasons and just told him that they would take care of it from there on and they will send the passport by DHL.
So, we had positive hopes based on the interview but we still tried emailing the embassy for updates. They will not tell you anything besides "we are still processing it".
Thankfully 3 long months later, they sent me, the petitioner, an email letting us know they will issue the visa next week.
From what I researched, they might have been doing background checks. Good Luck to anyone going through this. It was a very difficult time.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Yesterday morning I had my interview at the consulate. If you don't have time to read everything, the final thing the consular said was "your visa has been been approved. Good luck".
If you have time, here is my wonderful experience in Naples:
My appointment at the "Istituto Varelli" was for Tuesday the 19th at 8 am. They usually give this appointment for the day before your interview date.
For this appointment I had with me a few pictures 5cm x 5cm. This is the first thing I want to focus your attention on. A lot of people had normal "foto-tessere". Even if they are okay for the Istituto Varelli, they won't be okay at the consulate. I had 6 pictures total, just to be sure, all 5cm x 5cm and I was totally fine. I would suggest to do the same. At Varelli's they asked me for one of them. Also they need your passport, that I had with me. I also asked a few weeks ago a vaccination record from my "distretto sanitario"... read complete review
