Had an early morning appointment and arrived 30 minutes before. Was called up to the first window to give document that was requested prior to the appointment and the women was very professional and let me know that if anything was missing the consular would notify me but also stated that everything looked good.. Sat back down and waited a few minutes until I was called to the second window for my interview with the consulate. I can’t say enough but she was the nicest person and made me feel very excited about my interview. She asked a couple questions about how I meet my wife, what are my plans, and just a bit about us. She informed me that my visa was approved and that would receive my passport in the mail within 1-2 weeks and that I was free to go. The whole process from checking in to leaving was about 40 min in total. My experience was great and I can’t wait to fly with my wife back to the states.

Brought a very large file with all the documents, including proof of relationship, trips, etc. At first, I was called and asked to show army records, medical files, taxes, and AOS. After that, I waited for the main interview. The interview itself was very friendly, took about 8-10 minutes, including fingerprints. The consul didn't request any other documents. I advise coming about 20-30 minutes before the appointment. Phones or any other electronics are not allowed inside.

Very smooth experience with large amount of parking in Jerusalem's Arnona neighborhood.
Arrived early in the morning for an 8 AM appointment. You hand in some of the requested documents at the window + they already have all of the medical exam details and so on digitally.
As the sponsor(husband) and a US Citizen - you must stay outside once your partner goes is called into the embassy.
Interview was fairly routine, quick and without any pressure. Spouse was informed they will approve the visa.
Honestly not nearly as difficult as all of the petition application/NVC craziness one must submit before getting to the actual interview.

During the interview, the interviewer was very cordial. She didn’t ask too many questions from me . I have never felt that it was an actual interview. It was just a kind of validation of the documents I have submitted.. The question that I remember was “ what do you plan to do in America?â€. I also brought so many proof that our marriage is bonafide but she never asked to see it. I also brought my husband’s I-864 but she didn’t even ask for it. After the interview , she told me right away that my papers are ok and that I can have my visa in less than 2 weeks . After I got home , I checked my status online and it says my visa has been printed. After 5 days , I got a notification that I can pick up my passport at the official pickup point near me. After I got my visa, I booked my flight to the US. I will be flying on the 25th of May.

My husband had the interview and had to wait a long time in line due to Covid-19 restrictions and complications with them accepting the fact that my husband did not have the police certificate from where he was born (USSR - what is now known as Ukraine) since he doesn't have citizenship there and has never even been there since moving to Israel. The actual interview went fine and he was asked general questions about our relationship. I had prepared a stack of papers for the interview but no one even looked at them, not even the pictures I had him bring. Since I am living with my spouse in Israel I was worried about proving my intent to re-establish domicile in the US since all I had was my voting records over the years, Federal taxes filed, updated SS card, a place to live with family when we move and correspondence with family members and a close friend. I didn't have a bank account or driver's license or rent contract and I don't have kids so I didn't have anything regarding school r... read complete review
