Husband had his interview today. We arrived at the consulate at 12:50pm for appt at 1:00pm. I expected to be turned away like a lot of other spouses and fiances seem to have been in the reviews before this one. Surprisingly, they allowed me to attend the interview with him, and be a part of the whole process at every window. Everyone working there was very friendly and chatty. When we arrived, we were called to one of the windows to check in, and then told to sit down. Then we were called up to another window to submit original and copy documents to a woman who asked us a few questions. (Birth cert, marriage cert, affidavits, tax forms, etc.) We were told to sit back down and wait to be called again. I was glad I got to come in with the Husband, because we kept each other company and had a good laugh while we waited, since they take away your phone and all electronics before you arrive. We ended up waiting for nearly 2 hours before we had the actual interview, because there were severa... read complete review

I had the Best experience. I had worked myself up thinking there would be a massive queue & loads of people but there wasnt many there at all. I did make a mistake and didnt have the correct stamp amount on my envelope but they granted me permission to go get another and come back. It was all over with within an hour & i was SO relieved after so many months of paperwork and waiting. javascript:emoticon('')javascript:emoticon('')

Not much to add to previous reviews. Staff were friendly and efficient. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment at 1 and was allowed in at five to one. I was number 3 in the queue and very glad to be as the security guards can only process 3 people at one time so the rest of the queue had to continue to wait outside, where it was raining. The processing area inside the embassy is smaller the I expected and as already mentioned by other people there is no privacy during the interview. I was asked to describe how I met my husband and how our relationship developed, what he does for a living and then what I expected to do once I got to the US. I was also asked where we were going to live.

I had my interview for my K1 visa on the second of November. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
My interview was at one and I got there a bit early so I was told to come back at one. A line was forming outside the entrance so I went and stood in that. At around one they started letting people in. You have to go through security, similar to airport security, and you have to throw out any liquids you have and put any electronics in a locker, which you get back when you're leaving.
When you go in first you wait in a queue to give someone the documents you have with you and then in another queue to pay the visa fee. After that they tell you to sit down and wait until you're called for your interview. There were five people interviewing for K1 visas the day I was there and I was called fourth, so I was waiting for around an hour. Also they interview you at the little windows so everyone can hear what you're saying, it's not in a private room. The man who interviewed ... read complete review

I accompanied my fiance to the embassy (I am the petitioner), however they wouldn't let me in past security. We arrived at the embassy at around 1pm for a 1:30pm appt. He was through security by 1:15 pm, and out by 1:45. They asked him about how we met and our relationship developed. They only took the affidavit of support, employment letter and my tax return. They did not take my W2, nor did they ask for any additional proof of relationship.
