Got there around 7am. Still have to wait in line even though you are an immigrant applicant or have the interview scheduled already. Though, they did consider to prioritize you as well. If it's a busy day where many people are having the same interview date as you are, be prepared to wait up to 5 hours. 4 hours to wait til you're being called for fingers scanning, and up to another hour for the interview. The interview only last for 5 minutes, if things go well and all documents are complete, the CO will give you white slip with the date of which you can start picking up your visa.
ps: In my case, they didn't even bother to check out a single photo of me and my fiance, I guess I gave too much evidence docs already and they told me to put it back inside the bag when they do the document screening. :P

My fiance had his interview for the K-1 visa yesterday. Had to wait quite a long time - he was there before 8am and didn't have the actual screening for the interview until around noon.
There was some confusion at the screening desk, as the Indonesian screener was insisting he should have a form 230 (which he actually did not need). Apparently she was quite unfriendly about it. She gave him one to fill out manually, which he did. However, when the consular officer met with him, he also confirmed that the 230 was not necessary for the K-1 visa, as the same information is covered by the DS 157. The consular officer informed the screener that she had been incorrect.
Actual interview was quite short - he asked about how me and my fiance met, why we didn't get married in Indonesia (I was working as a researcher in the country at the time we met), and what kind of plans we had for the wedding. That was about it!
But happily he'll be going ... read complete review

The Interview went pretty well. My Fiancee came in at 8am. However, according to her, it's a bit confusing how to wait in line. You have to ask or follow people around to get to the right waiting area. The AC in the building is very cold. She had to wait about 3 hours before her turn to be interviewed. There was a person before her, I supposed not a VJ member because she's not in the list of upcoming interview, and she got some documents to be provided. My fiancee was very nervous and the cold AC is not making things better. She had to stand during the interview. The Consular was not very friendly nor mean, just flat out a man that does his job for his country. This turns out to be out of my expectation. I was expecting a friendly CO because of the other reviewers indicate the CO is being nice and smiley. She was questioned with basic stuff like what's your fiance's name, what does he do for living, and go a little bit more detail about the job. Then, the CO starts as... read complete review
