Our interview 22nd May, arrived at consular at 6:40, a lot of people outside waiting but a a lot were there for passport and nonimmigrant visa , purple shirt guy called out to get in line for immigrant visa building,they let my American wife inside with me ,then you go through at security check DO NOT take medical cd to interview! Went into different building for the interview, there were multiple employees wearing purple shirts helping arrange documents, waiting in line for token number went to Indian officer she interview me and asked for documents and then returned some documents that was sent into nvc, then 15 mins later my token number came on display screen , there was and interpreter and American officer, the American woman officer greeted me with a big smile and said good morning. Of coarse greeted her back with a huge smile.

Review of Mumbai interview experience, May 21st 2018
My wife reached the consulate early, at around 6:20. She mentioned that there were already people waiting around that time, and it was hot. So she waited under a tree until the purple shirt guy came out at around 7am. He called out for immigrant visa applicants first. My wife was one of the first people in line, as she crossed the street immediately after she saw him.
After going inside had to go through security. For some reason the scanner at the security checkpoint was malfunctioning and kept detecting CDs for everyone. My wife told him she is not carrying a CD. He checked my wife’s bag and folders, opened all the folders and the sheets, at some point the documents fell down too, so had to rearrange the documents again. Ultimately security guy checked and said no CD, and let my wife go.
Then she was called by the lady at the counter. Questions asked there were:

Very challenging interview and essentially after Administrative Processing, the case has been returned to NVC

*My wife's interview experience*
She waited outside until they signaled 7:30 appt ppl to come ( around 7:10 )
Once inside Indian personnel came and asked to arrange documents
DS-260 confirmation
Passport
Birth certificate
Marriage certificate
Police Clearance certificate
Medical envelope
Next she went to first window where Indian lady took her documents ,
Gave her back lot of the documents that was sent to USCIS and NVC ,
She asked few generic questions
Who's calling you
What's your husband do
My wife requested gujurati language for interview
She got token #
My wife said for gujurati interview language they had to wait long time , only 2-5 windows were open at a single time
She waited around 3 hours and was called around 11:30
