My visa interview was scheduled for April 15, 2019 at Mumbai. I had my fingerprinting done at Delhi on April 12th. I reached Mumbai one day prior to my interview and stayed at Sofitel Hotel, which is a 1 minute walk to the US Consulate. My interview was scheduled for 7:30am and I reached the consulate at 6:35am. There were a huge number of people standing to the opposite street of the consulate (most of which were there for non-immigrant visa's). The guards announced the people scheduled for 7:30am appointment to form a line alongside the consulate at 7am. After passing security check-in, inside we were told to form another line to receive our tokens. I chose to give my interview in Punjabi Language. After waiting for 30 minutes, my token was called by an Indian officer who checked my documents and asked me...
1) Who is calling you?
2) Where does she live?
He then handed me a pamphlet explaining my rights in USA and told me to wait again till my token would be call... read complete review

The interview was very smooth. The interviewer only asked the following:
- How did we meet? When? Where?
- How many times after that? Where, where, how long for those meetings?
We have met 4 times in 1.5 years long relationship and already met/stayed with each other's families so it was okay.
Then they finally said everything looks okay on the application. and that's it!

We arrived the day before the interview and stayed at a hotel called Hotel Garden Patk Hospitality. We went the next morning around 6:30 by auto and arrived in about 10 minutes. After waiting across the street they called for any 7:15 appointments. We left our phones in hotel and just came with papers and spending money. We went through security and then went to another line where they arranged our papers and then got a token. After waiting for about 15 minutes we were called to a window and we were asked for the papers (birth certificate plus copy, notarized translation plus copy, medical packet, passport, PCC original and copy, my i134 and some tax documents). He scanned through my i134 packets for both me and my joint dpondor and only took thr latest tax return and my form. They gave back all originals except passport and PCC. We then sat down and waited to be called for appointment. We waited for about an hour. We went together to the window and were interviewed by a US lady with H... read complete review

Arrived at the Consulate at 6:47 a.m. to wait in line outside and was the second individual. They made two lines, one for the 7:15 a.m. appointments and the 7:30 a.m. appointments. An Officer at the beginning of the line checked for passports, the DS160, and the appointment letter. Walked to a lady with a tablet in her hands that checks for the Biometrics Barcode that they put on the outside of the passport when you get it done. Sat in a sitting area in the front until 7:15 a.m.and then went inside for a security check. After security check, I was taken to the counter where a lady gives a ticket and organizes all your additional paperwork. The ticket contained my number. There's another Indian Officer that takes the organized papers. Waited for an additional 45 minutes for my number to be called. Got to the counter for my interview and had a woman conducting the interview.
Questions asked:
Who "calling" ( means who is petitioning) you?
How did you meet? ... read complete review
